Hi all
Sam's has Mobil-1 5W-30 engine oil for sale for $33.48 for six cans (original price $43.48).
It says the limit is 5, but I ended up with eight boxes.
Cheers
Recently, I did the timing belt change, and I ended up taking the radiator off. If you take it off, you will have a transmission fluid leak from the radiator and may need to check the level.
I am going to take LXfromTX advice and replace all the boots. Two weeks ago, I ordered the kit from a local Toyota dealer and still haven't gotten it. They say something to do with supply chain issues. I'll keep you'll post on this monkey
I replaced the timing belt a couple of weeks back, and it went smoothly. The AC compressor's nuts and bolts gave me the most significant problems. I have to spend easily two hours playing with them. After putting everything back, I only had three extra bolts. Crank 1st time, and no issues so...
I have noticed grease from the rubber boots on both sides of the CV axles. Should I replace the CV axles, or is this normal wear? The rig is a 2007 LX470 with 90k miles.
My 2007 LX470 has 87K miles, and thinking of replacing the wheel bearings. I was not thinking of replacing the rotors. I need to know, would you replace the rotors or just the bearings?
Your thoughts and advice, please.
I am thinking of changing the timing belt, and this kind of stuff scares me. Yea, not to mention to keep all the timing marks in place. I am debating if I should take it to the stealer shop or DIY.
I had the same issue on my 2003 LX470 and had to send it off to Tanin Auto Electonix. Cost $485.00.
You have to send instrument cluster panel for the repairs, unless they have one in stock. Takes little over 2 weeks , unless you pay $200.00 extra for 2 day return.
Truck can still be...
With so many do's and don't I am totally confused. I need to reread some of the posts to get handle of this stuff. I pay little more to have better coverage and wonder if I am fool to pay much for each insurance. I have Geico and every 6 months, they keep increasing my premium.
