Exactly what I was looking for thanks! Mine is a '97 (I used to have it in my sig...but removed it for some reason...I'm sure...but I have no idea why!)so the gaskets aren't needed (I did have 2 of the two of the first one, so I didn't put it in there somewhere). I think I know which bolt the...
So, My HG finally gave up at 211,000 mi. I ordered parts, (a couple of batches worth) did this and that "while I'm in there", and have now drug this out long enough that I have forgotten where some things go! I know, I know...label, label, label...but this was supposed to be a quick turnaround...
Using the logic that the early bird gets the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese, count me in. I will give these a nice home in my very own rig, cause I'm selfish like that I suppose.
Yes. In fact, the way I installed them, there is about 1/8" between the back of the speaker and the window arm when the window is lowered (measured using a piece of play-dough stuck to the back of the magnet.) The way I installed them was enlarging the hole in the door, then the...
They sound great to me, and they're not expensive which is nice. I'm sure they would sound better behind a new hu, but I'm happy for now. Here is a pic of what they replaced...
Installed the Polk db651's, 6.5 front and rear. Couldn't find a paint color I liked so i painted them with Rustoleum hammered look brown paint. I thought it looked okay after I painted them, but got a bit impatient and an hour after painting I sprayed a coat of clear over them. Fast forward...
So, with funds being especially tight because of Christmas, I was wondering if I could get away with locking the CDL and pulling the front DS for awhile? If I went this route, would it be feasible to do until tax time? If I didn't pull the shaft and ran it as is, is it just a ticking time bomb...
Pulled the drive hub, poked at the bearings and they seemed okay. Went ahead and pulled everything down to the spindle, spun the shaft and get a distinct clicking that i can both hear and feel in the shaft. So I assume that it must be the birf, correct? I've never been this far into the front...
I haven't greased the joints in awhile, but I am able to faintly recreate the sound by spinning the front hubs with the front end jacked up. With the front end jacked up, spinning the hubs doesn't spin the drive shaft, so I think I can eliminate the u-joints. I have a very small amount of play...
97 LX450
Factory locked
200,000 mi
So, leaving the house this morning and I hear a strange noise from the front end, not a clicking like a worn birf, but more of a dull clunking noise. It only happens at slower speeds, about 10-25 mph, and goes away at higher speeds. First thought is...
The radiators for the earlier models is copper and the newer are aluminum. I'm not sure on the parts numbers, but the copper model will fit into a later model rig.
So my radiator just took a dump. I tried calling Dan and Onur, but they are at Cruise Moab. I was wondering if anyone has a list of part numbers (hoses, clamps, t-stat, rubber mounts) that I can feed the parts guys. They are certainly not as knowledgeable as Dan and Onur, so I'm hoping y'all...
Is anyone running these cables with the mil-spec terminals and a DieHard PM-1? Those terminals look pretty big and I was wondering if there was any interference with the stud/post design on the top of the PM-1.
