Got a bumper from Bent-up about 5 years ago, maybe 6. Nice work. looked great on the truck. But, REAL crappy powder coating. It started to flake off after about two years. Scraped and painted it a few times, but nothing stays fro more than a season.

Been a while since I've been here, because nothing has been a problem. But now I have one.
A few weeks ago, after driving in H4 during yet another snowstorm, I suddenly smelled burning oil. I was a block away from home so I kept going, I really didn't even know it was me or a smell from outside...
This was also part of the find. I dont see any name on it, and there is no body, just what you see here. It's gotta be 48" long, and on its own heavy stand.
Any guesses?
my son and I have two Traxxas Electric Stampedes. As we bust stuff up, I plan on replacing OEM parts with better quality aftermarket stuff.
Here's the issue. I bought an Integy front shock tower. The part I received was a different design from the web site picture. So different that I could...
Thanks...
I have been playing with this fro a few days late at night, and I'm getting it pretty good. Nowhere near confident I wont plant the plane nose first. but its getting there....
Bought an E-sky flight simulator to help to fly a beginer plane bought for my son.
The entire instruction sheet is written in Chinese so i am having trouble with the
mapping/calibration of the controller.
I figured out the calibration since the screen explains it. But what do I do with...
This. I pay more for insurance because of the cost to replicate millwork in my house if something should happen.
Whats best about older homes, is the stuff you find while re-doing it. I found some old local police badges from the 20's, and an older staircase that was hidden in the brickwork...
No way. A halogen PAR lamp puts out way more heat directed down than a normal BR or R lamp. The filiment burns hotter, and the goal of this design is to put more light directed out.
I had nine 90 watt pars in my kitchen. Besides everyone leaving them on all the time, you couldnt even stand...
T5 fitures are gaining im use, but mostly as replacements for HIG lighting in high ceilings.
T8 are the way to go. I have 2 light industials with shades all over my shop. one thing to keep in mind is if you have dirty electricity coming in, like flucuations in voltage, the electronic ballasts...
My some and his friends have decided to have a battlebot contest. ( Whatever happend to that show?).
The first thing we need to get is the r/c controls...transmitter, reciever..servos.
I know tha basics form our Traxxis trucks, but dont know how to buy just the electronics.
I see mant 4...
Time to change the plugs, and I cruised through the forum for any info. I read the threads, watched the video, and today was the day.
Getting to the plugs was not as bad as it looked, and nowhere near as bad as s oem of the threads made it seem.
But...
I had DOZENS of spark plug sockets i...
Looking for a set of (2) 4" KC lights, or other metal bodied lights. The dont need to be working or even have a bulb. I want to try to retro-fit something. All I need is the complete body and mounting.
I airdried a whole bunch of green ash a few years back. The loca portable swamill guy cut it into 1" + slabs. I stacked it behind the shop, stickered with lath and covered with a lid of plywood, for about 18 months. The rule of thumb up here seems to be one year per inch thickness.
Now its...
I have two in my shop. Both are Grizzly.
Grizzly makes some damn fine high end stuff.
I use the 20 inch for re-sawing, and the other is an 18" for general use. Both I have shoved 3" square maple stock through, and could only slightly slow the motor. The 20 inch was about 2 grand, with a 3...
