210K miles, starts easy, runs smooth. 2f engine, all stock. Interior of vehicle is decent, if not a little dirty. A/C on this beast still blows cool! This trail rig has been anchored in various parts of the yard for the last three years, and I think it would better...
Thought about that, but I already tried to get rid of the truck to get a little commuter, but people seem to think these trucks are worth about 50 cents on the dollar. Apparently it is a great time to buy a truck:rolleyes:
Aside from that, I have a neighbor that supplies all of the wiring...
Looking to sneak a little more mileage out of my 05 F-250 PSD, since my driving situation has greatly changed with a new job. I live in Salt Lake City, and commute up to Park City 5-6 days a week, approx 65 miles roundtrip. I gain/lose about 3k feet in altitude, as I drive I-80 up Parleys...
I'll try to get some up today, when the sun comes up.
The damage is really limited to the driver's side front door, and a little bit on the rear pillar.
This rig has been sitting for about 3 years. I parked it and pulled out the key, thinking I would get to it in a month or two...and didn't. Don't have the time or money to do what I want with it, so I'll let her go to a good home.:)
Here's the rundown:
4.88 Gears in both axles, front...
based on the smoke exiting the tailpipe last time I took it around the block, I would imagine the exhaust it okay, but you never know. I'll take it off and give it the once over just to be sure--thanks for the suggestion.
Been searching ebay, and eyeballin a carb rebuild kit and a...
Did a compression check today, got a reading just below 120, so i think thats all good. Guess it's time to pull the carb and get it rebuilt/cleaned up...
As the title states, I have a fairly new to me 87 Big Bear 350, and it fouls plugs with regularity, backfires, stumbles on acceleration. Ran quite well when I picked it up in Feb.
To be honest, haven't had a ton of time to troubleshoot, so I am throwing it out here to the board to...
So the MDF turned out much better than expected, using a sheet of 3/4" MDF, cutting to size and using a 1/2" roundover bit on the router table. For about $30 I updated the look of the cabinets, and the wife was pleasantly surprised.
I will post pics in a day or two, as I am still finding...
In a word, yes. I have a Zircon model, and I swear that thing couldn't find a stud if you threw it on top of a stack of 2x4's.
If you are hanging cabinets, take a small bit and drill thru the wall above where the bottom of the cabinet will be, thus finding the stud, and then hang said...
drilling and plugging with dowels is an excellent idea. I did a little test run with the hinges that I want to use, and it all seemed to hold together very well.
I plan to just do a 1/4 round on the edges with a router, keep it simple. Also, I would think that priming and painting them would seal them up pretty good from any water. I use MDF base and trim all the time, but never have tried it in an application like this.
I have the 2.5 BDS lift on my 85 60, and it rides smooth as butter. I have liked those springs from the day I put 'em on. Bit stiff at first, but after a few trips offroad, flexing them out, they softened right up. YMMV...
So, I'm gonna spruce up our little kitchen as a surprise for the :princess: while she is out of town next week. Looking to paint the existing cabinets, and I am wondering the feasability of using 3/4" MDF to create new door/drawer fronts.
The current doors are quite dated and have a lot of...
Bwahahahaha :lol::lol:
Those ditches on the side of the roads have called my name a time or two. I lost a bead crossing a puddle, unaware of the tire ruts I was about to hit. We dragged it back out the way I went in, and swapped to the spare. Guys at the tire shop asked if I wanted it...
x2 on the 33's. those 31's under a 3" lift will look small.
I have bought the off-brand tire before, and it worked ok, but the BFG, or even better, any swamper would be a much better price to value ratio, especially on a truck that will see more trail time than street time. YMMV.
didn't think to ask about random failures, but that is one more reason someone will know where I have gone and when I expect to be back. Don't want to have to become survivorman or anything if I don't have to.
Sorry, guys--I totally spaced that I had started this thread.
I just got it back from the dealership, which (surpisingly) treated me great. The service manager kept her mechanics on it, and finally found an o-ring somewhere in the oil rail(?) after removing valve covers, etc. Having...
