That pic with the skinny tires looks like it's way higher than a 4th gen. More along the lines of the 3rd gen for clearance.
In the pdf it also stated that the v8 is discontinued!?
Looks like the 4.0liter 1gr-fe is modified to have dual vvti as well.
That front end IFS looks identical to the new tundra, right down to the way that lower balljoint sits and the beefy tie rods. I guess it's not a bad thing, but there seems to be a lot of parts sharing going on these days at toyota. I have a feeling that the 200 series drivetrain won't have any...
I'm impressed with it since it is still stock with 31's. I don't think the rear is even at it's limit. The ability of this rig always suprises me cause I'm used to driving ifs trucks.

Did anyone notice the new FJ Cruiser with the AT transmission is rated 21 mpg city, 27 highway. This is imperial of course, but that's pretty good for a 4 liter V6 with some balls behind it.
This is around the same fuel mileage as my BJ.
