Runs well with corrosion issues typical of a New England daily driver and leaking exhaust.
Pictures and more details upon request.
I wanted to post here first before Craigslist.

Howdy All,
My brother is looking at this 80 in Cedar Falls, Iowa. The auction is ending in a little over two days.
If someone is nearby can they take a look and give a quick appraisal? Or if someone knows any history on this truck.

Howdy,
I relocated to mid-coast Maine (from Michigan) earlier this year and figure I would throw an intro here.
I was at the CMCC in 2005 where I met some folks from Yankee Toys. I still can not forget Wrench!
Anyway, hopefully I'll be wheeling with some of you soon!
I just starting hearing a noise in my cruiser while driving home from work.
I would describe the noise as a growling while the tach is around 1600 rpm. I believe I heard it in 3rd and 4th gear, both around 1600 rpm. If I lift the throttle the growling goes away.
I'll try some standard...
I have some budget available for my next mods ... around $1000. Take a look at my sig or my ROTW for my current set-up.
Any ideas ... What should my next steps be?

I will have separate budget this summer for some necessary PM.
Just got me a new tool. I figure this will get good double duty at home and on the trail.

Just a quick link to the Sno*Blind 2006 event site. This is a classic winter wheelin' run in Northern Michigan. I have no direct affiliation to this club but I am planning on registering for this coming year. I've had some friends attend and always hear some great stories.

Introduction & History:
I bought my truck in Arizona during March of 2004 with 89k miles. It is a 40th Edition with factory lockers. The 80-series Land Cruiser is the perfect vehicle for my needs … out of the box off road performance, potential for modifications for more off road...
I do not own a FSM yet! Let the flaming begin!
I am changing out the front brake pads with OE parts. The old pads (from PO) are OE also. I noticed the OE pads have a small L & R stamped in the back side of the pad. I assume this stands for Left and Right, respectively for each caliper...
I just found out today that I left my truck parked since Monday with the sunroof about 1/3 open. During that time two good rain storms have come through and soaked my interior. :crybaby: I found about a half inch of water in my center console bin. My leather seats seemed rather dry and...
See some pics from "The Mounds" ORV park in central Michigan. This was a busy weekend with a lot of trucks and other clubs around.
I was there with Great Lakes Land Cruisers for a day playing in the mud.
My '80, four '40s, two Heeps and a Land Rover Series III made up our group...
Sorry if repost. I am not the seller, but I figured someone might be interested.

Okay, got my Slee Slider-Steps today and my lift complete a few weeks ago. This was my minimum equipment list to attend CMCC this year. Along with a few other items and the slider install my 'Cruiser should be ready after this weekend. So, planning to drop my registration in the mail this...
I am planning to pull the trigger on sliders for my truck this week. Either buy a set of Slee Step Sliders or fab some up starting with George's online design. I have a friend who is willing help me with the fab work. I have an esitmate for material costs, but no estimate for time to fab...
Can I use a drive thru car wash if I install a snorkel on my truck?
***I know this is the 100 forum, but you folk might have more experience with this than the 80 folks.***
I figure the answer is no, but I wanted to see if anyone has had some experience with this.
I try to get my...
I'm looking to modify my Super Swamper LTBs before CMCC 2005. So here are some options ... comments and experiences welcome.
