Yes I've read all those and more. I'd like to know what the function of the armature lug is. Is it a negative or positive. Unfortunately I'm not electrically gifted some of the diagrams show 4 wires going the motor Is there polarity of the a lug?
Where do I connect the single lug (armature)at the end of the motor on my '77 8247? Replacing solenoids with contactor.. Contactor has the 4 lugs ,pos and neg to battery then the other two to the f1 & f2 lugs on motor. I've checked the diagrams on line and still don't get it. Where the heck do...
Putting contactor on my 7/7/77 Warn 8274. It's got the old metal plug receptacle that intrudes into control box about 1.5".
Is there a cheap replacement for this plug in? I'd like to keep the receptacle where it is. I see warn has the "new" version (1980 and up) for about $40. Ouch.
The newer...
I bought the cheap magnetic tail light kit off Amazon. As my rear bumper is a big metal one with diamond plate, the magnets did stick but no way to trust that! I simply tied bailing wire around the necks and bumper just firm not tight and they stayed in place perfectly and securely. Worst part...
I just got back From flat towing my '71 Fj40 with 2.5" lift, 10.50x33/ 15's with Harbor Freight towbar. After disconnecting one end of the driveshaft at the rear differential and zip tying it over to the frame, transfer in neutral, Warn lockouts in free, I Towed the 40 over 3 Colorado mountain...
Flat towing behind my 92 Chev 1 ton regular cab non dually.
I want to go right into my rear tail light wire and wire in flat 4 pin connector at rear of PU of course. I want to bypass my 40 electrical system. So I want to hook up directly to my Pickup towing plug and take the flat pin wiring...
I've had the Q jet for years with no real problems, rebuilt once about 10 yrs ago. I installed a Holly 4 bbl on my chevy PU 4wd but when 4 wheeling in the mountains the carb would starve on hills and angles I think that can be fixed but, the Qjet has been fine for me, now it's running better...
My 350 Chevota ( GMC 350 out of a 78 Jimmy) would usually cold start or somewhat warm start would not start without 2 or 3 half pumps of the accelerator but occaisionally would be a bit harder to start after being parked awhile in the summer heat here in Colorado Springs at 6,000 FASL. So...
This is a great shape, short shaft SM 465 tranny with the 10 spline. It's moving time and I can't take it with me.
Comes with the chrome shifter and knob too. This is of course the tranny you want for that Low Low granny gear!
Only $100.00 for all. Also has the output coupler included...
I don't know if cable is still available check Spector off road and many other sources here. I know my vacuum hoses under there are original, look ratty but still work perfect. easy to replace those hoses if need be. I think SOR has parts for the actuator or whatever it's called that is...
That's the cable that goes to the 4wd button that activates the vacuum switch. On mine that cable goes through that hole just above your lower heater hose on the firewall, it looks like someone put 1 or 2? cables or wire through it. And above that hole, almost obscured by the upper heater hose...
I have the Chevy disc brakes front and back on my stock axles. They are great, I've had them on for years and have never caused any problems... they just eliminated the infernal drum brake problems!
Never eliminate the vacuum activated 4wd system! it is so reliable and who needs a hole cut in...
That's a later model windshield frame, I think the original had a vent in it. That is quite an interesting project you got there! newer fender turn signals on the fender and the 2F engine.. could turn out to be a great hybrid.
Have some new Koyo bearings for Land Cruiser transfer case I believe these are for '80-'84 Split case. Here are the numbers for verification. I looked them up a couple of years ago and labeled them but always good to confirm numbers.
The little one is front inner output shaft BT1112-1
