He's running a GM Auto tranny with an adapter to the 60 series split case.
If you have an A440 transmission, with a little bit of work and Frankenstein combination of parts, you can have a 62 series split case with these gears behind an A440.
Needed:
A440
62 series A440 output shaft...
Someone give me a donor 62 transmission and transfer, plus a donor 60 series split case....I'll buy the gears and be the first. I think the A440 v. A343 is the real issue with making this work, don't think you can get a split case behind the A343.
Needed to do this:

Just gotta use a 62 series split case...plus a few other things. So who will be first?
So I get a 62 series case (and 62 series A440 since the 62 case wont bolt up to my A440), a 60 series split case output shaft, and these gears.....and it will all fit together nicely under my 80?

Maybe not gutted cats, but as little as my rig gets/will be driven....I'm not too concerned with the exhaust routing. Sound? I'm trying to quiet down what I have now. With cats, it sounds really nice. Like a V8 w/ Flowmasters. But re-installing cats on my setup is more work than...
Stock routing, gutted cats, cherry bomb 2.5"....sounded AWESOME!
Same setup except straight piped the cats.....too loud, but sounds like a rally car on the trials and a WAY TOO LOUD diesel truck on the road.
Although his setup, with gutted cats and some sort of muffler(s) is what I plan to...
Cool. Now to find a good replacement pump. Mine is worn out and I want one that can handle hydro-boost too. Maybe one from PSC? Who else makes PS pumps?
Ok, hydro-assist on an 80 with high-steer.
Wanting a new pump and steering box too. Pump should be able to power hydro-boost brakes and/or a winch.
40" LTBs, Aussie Lockers both ends.
What do the pro's suggest?
