04 LX470 AHC, brake controller, & Electrical Issues Question

UPDATE: AHC continued to occur periodically. The rear was OK but the front would drop to the rubber stoppers then rise again after a time. For now, I have pulled the AHC fuses and although the ride is soft, all is fine for now. It turns out that my battery is low. A thought occurred: Will...

04 LX470 AHC, brake controller, & Electrical Issues Question

Thanks for the replies, gents. Yes I did check all fuses, including the engine bay and behind driver's and passenger side kick panels. When I pulled the rear AHC sensor, I cleaned up the tracks with a q-tip and some maf spray cleaner. I could see ridges as mentioned. My issues occur...

    Warn 12 v to 24 v conversion

Try Western Starter on Mitchell Island in Richmond. Ask for Vinny. They are very fair. Or you could run hot, as suggested by Wayne Smith (Crushers). He has run a 12V winch on 24V. Runs fast. Burn it out, then rewind. I ended up purchasing online and got a great price (like $850) for a 24V...

New Ears: Side view mirror replacement with pics

I just bought the same mirros you installed, Goldeneagle. The PO had installed Izuzu mirros which I hate because the adjustment moves the entire mirror housing. So, bump the mirror, time to adjust. PIA for the passenger side. Question: These mirrors screw in from the outside. Does this mean...

    Fuel sedimenter

One more question: Are you guys repositioning the separator when you replace? On the HJ60, its on the passenger side frame rail just in front of the rear tire. If possible, I'd like to leave the new one in the same local. However, that would probably mean it would have to be the same size...

West Harrison Route to Sloquet, St Agnes Well & Pemberton

Jeff, you're brutal. :) I also saw the piece on the news. The road is actually quite good except for the 10 km or so at the north end of Harrison Lake. And even then, there are just a few spots that are steep enough and bumpy enough to be interesting. Its a long drive but its beautiful...

West Harrison Route to Sloquet, St Agnes Well & Pemberton

Hi Gang, It was great to see many of you at Cruiser Days. Great work by those involved. As many of you know, the Sea to Sky Highway is blocked for the long weekend due to the slide at Porteau Cove. Milena and I want to make it to our property in Birken, just north of Pemberton. Have...

Why no rear seat belt install in FAQ?

Any liability issues? I.e., someone posts wrong way to install and someone is seriously injured as a result? Perhaps better to post factory install. Bruce

    New ARB Bumper Pics

Hi guys, I just installed my new ARB bull bar. I am impressed with ARB's attention to detail. And the guys at ARB in Seattle were a great help. A few questions.\: 1) For any of you who have the new design, what height did you set it at? The standard lift is the highest setting but seems...
