As far as the AT51's I had a set, they worked adequatly, got 93k miles out of them, but they were pretty done by the end of their life. Not super inspiring traction wise. I would get Michillin LTX M/S 2's if you want a regular tire with good snow traction.
Snowflake rated, and actual snow tires are different. Dedicated snow tires have so much more traction on snow than a snowflake rated tire that it almost isn't a fair comparison.
I have Blizzak DMV-2's on my pickup and they're very good.
I was going to post a pic, but the FSM has it on three different pages.
For a 1999 LX470
Green White is the stop light wires
Red Black is the reverse lights
White Black is ground
Green Yellow is right turn
Green Black is left turn
Of course I would verify this info before cutting, but this...
Yup, totally agree. Rear I wouldn't have thought twice about it, not sure how the fronts fail (will do more research) but I am now worried that it could be a liability once I get the rig fully loaded for my planned RTW trip.
I had planned on an ARB front and rear, but scratched those plans after...
Front diff.
Good points, edited the post to say front diff.
Let's see what everyone else says, but currently inclined to just run it. But really don't want it to grenade somewhere I can't get out of.
This was supposed to be a boring post to my build thread that no one will read, but then something interesting happened. I found something wrong during routine maintenance.
99 LX with 145k front diff no weirdness inspired the fluid change. Fluid looked as new, not even honey colored.
Opinions
On of my brights doesn't turn off. Ill be calling TRS about it, just thought I would mention it here. I've done nothing to check it out, its light until 1030 right now so hasn't been a big issue.
If I flick the brights a few times the projector sheid will drop back down, but its getting worse
I don't have my truck with me, but I may have a picture. Your filler neck 'lip' isn't supposed to be flush with the bottom of the filler... area.
Its a tight fit even installed correctly, but not impossible. Maybe it would be impossible if you have those weird California gas nozzles, but...
Its trash, I'll do you a favor and take it off your hands for you!
It really looks fine, I would make sure theres no chance of flaking (maybe run a flap disc over it real quick to smooth off edges?) and run it.
