Hello all. I'm looking to put some 8.25R16 military tires on my 1969 Fj40. I'm looking for some help in best place to purchase some economical rims, also with correct back spacing. The bolt pattern is 6x5.5/6x139.7(metric) if I'm not mistaken. Factory rims are a nice look with the tall skinny...
I looked at the rears I installed with no shim and propeller shaft angle was good. I like I said RC instructions say add shim. I'll do the front and look at propeller shaft angle and decide from there. Did anybody remove a spring out of the lift to soften the ride?
Cheers Dennis.

Help please. I bought a used lift for my 1969 Fj40. I did not receive the shims for the front and back springs. Anybody have photos of the shims? What's the angle of the shim? Are the ones supplied buy RC good or can improvements be made?
Cheers Dennis.

Thanks. I was going to fab some up with a one inch up from stock. I think I saw some dimensions on a site somewhere, with a 2.75" up from stock. Maybe I will scale that.
Cheers.
Lol. Ok thanks. I'm actually fabing them up this weekend. Tried turning a grade eight bolt this morning to add the grease nipple and cross drilled for the grease to the bushings. All was good so I'll do the others on Saturday. Can I ask a major favor if possible, yours shackles look stock...
I was in sure if the anti-inversion went toward the frame or the spring. I felt both had arguments for their pros and cons. Towards The frame looks to make more sense.
Cheers Dennis.
Sorry should have up dated this, however A/C compressor is sold. I do have the bracket for the A/C unit. The guy I sold the A/C unit to was using the 2H comp with a 12HT mounting bracket, so the 2H mount will work with your 12HT I'm sure. Let me know if you are interested.
Cheers Dennis
