My Euro HZJ-73 rebuild "Green Bean"

Found a place that has reproduction pvc flooring if your interested I’ll dig it up. Personally I’m wanting to ditch the carpet especially because it rains and snows so much in my area that it just stays wet. Oem would be my first choice. Wish I could find some good molded rubber mats to go...

Rocker and rear quarter patch panels

My hzj73 has only 74000km's on the clock and runs like a top. it has rust issues from sitting outside- only in the lower rockers and lower rear quarters. Its an easy fix at this point before the cancer spreads. I think the outer rocker is available but does anyone make patch panels for the lower...

    Window visors-

Hello all- Picked up an Hzj73 recently and it’s fitted with large clear window visors. Being tall they cover most of my field of view out the windows. They’re worse for wear and I’m looking for replacements and want to find some in clear but not have had much luck. I’d also consider a smaller...

    Coastal off-road bumper on a 91

Just picked up a hzj73 and need bumpers. Looking at coastal but not sure if they will fit a 91 and unfortunately have not heard back from them. Anyone running one? Guessing the rear will fit with some trimming. How about the front? Other options? Pete

    PTO Winch Information

@Braden620 if you make the bolts have them drilled for a grease fitting and your never have to take them off to service them again! @jblueridge As I mentioned earlier in this thread if the pin breaks try having someone bounce up and down on the line while another person pulls to disengage the...

Connector ID Help on 1984 BJ42LX (RHD)

Pretty sure those are for the air-conditioner. I have them on my truck and one on the engine side of the firewall go to the compressor and too the pressure switch in line with the dryer. The ones in the cabin quite possibly run to the air-conditioner controller.

84 bj46 long term maintenance, repair and upgrade- making it mine.

He's not retired yet but he will be soon! His fingers are bent backwards from working all these years. He basically has terminal rheumatism – but he still damn good! Also I think it really helps that he made the top to fit my truck. He had the truck for two weeks. Now he's got me ordering...

Thanks man! I thought it came out pretty good. It really looks tight from the inside to. The stayfast material is nice stuff- almost too nice like lipstick on a pig. Pete

84 bj46 long term maintenance, repair and upgrade- making it mine.

Also finally got a compressor installed in the remaining battery tray. Got it done just in time for our yearly snow attack meeting and all I can say is that 6psi with chains on these tires will let you tractor through the white stuff at idle like nobodies business. I was the lead truck for a...

84 bj46 long term maintenance, repair and upgrade- making it mine.

The inner air locks have been working great and I’ve had no issues adding or releasing air from the tires. I did git a leak after falling into that crack (truck still wearing the bent quarter btw) when some dirt worked it’s way between the bead of the tire and the rim. Though the instruction say...

It’s been a while since I’ve been on mud so I thought it good to check in and let you guys know that the old truck is still being taken care of. I got a new top which was just beautifully crafted by my local guy. He’s retiring soon and none of the younger guys can do this level of work which is...

Would you assemble your own trailer if you had a kit?

My take: the frame and suspension are a lot easier to make or have made locally than the box. Personally I'd buy a simple well designed kit box which could offer a set number of options specifically for off road camping such as a good professional system for raising and lowering a platform for...

Tire chains for on road use....school me please

All the chains I've ever used have been pretty good amount work on too. I just find it easier just to jack up each wheel one at a time to put them on. It's the kind of thing that's best to do the day before you need them. In addition to chains she'll need a tarp to lay down in the snow and...
