I have a 1hdt that had some troubles. It’s a long story but it will need practically a full rebuild and I expect the front timing gears replaced. It threw a timing belt… then I repaired…. Rebuilt head etc. then it did it again…. I think it has damage to those timing gears that went undetected...
I’m selling a spare 1hz originally from a Hzj77. I purchase the rolled 77 and pulled the motor and ran it in my hj47 for a year ir so. Likely put 30,000 km on the 177000 km that was on the Hzj77 originally. Engine ram great but at one point I came across a 1hdt I couldn’t pass up and swapped...
Ok just to update:
I ended up filtering all my fluid. 1 bottle of 4 was chunky the rest seemed ok.
New pump arrived from partsouq. 1000USD or so for the assembly
Bench bled the pump.... added a little fluid and bumped it with battery until fluid squirted out
Installed pump... went in pretty...
Well it isn’t looking good. Ordering a new pump in hopes to get it working again. Motor seems suspect on this unit and thay coupled with the pump disassembly and re assembly I’m just not sure this setup will work. So much corrosion.
I've never seen the larger cans in canada but will maybe try and call around... either way I'm opening these one and taking a close look before introducing it to the cleaned tank and pump....

Here was tonight’s adventure.
Hooked pump in reverse. Nothing
Hooked pump in normal. Turn on with scan tool and hit pump with hammer. It ran! Sounded bad… made no pressure.
Pulled pump. Absolute nightmare for rusty trucks like mine. Not fun
Tons of debris and s*** in tank and pump...
Ok so did some more diagnostic and it isn’t looking good.
Using the Autel I can connect to ahc module. Read codes thay said abnormal pump pressure. Clear the code and it comes right back.
Did that many times.
Then manually turned on pump with tool. Nothing happened. No oump action...
for sure... its just my pump isn't running and won't run now....
for the first while it was running and getting the vehicle up but now won't run at all. not at start up and not after running for 5-10mins... I'll try letting it sit again. I feel like I triggered an error code in the AHC ECU...
ok I'll give that a go.... I'd been doing that and it would read "upP for a second and then go to "lo" and show the error code. won't stay displaying the up
