    Longfield Birfield Warranty

Anyone tried to claim warranty on an original Longfield Birfield through Trail Gear? I bought a 30 spline superset from Bobby Long back in 2008. One Birfield has just locked up. I called TG and they said they would assess it for warranty if I returned it along with the purchase receipt. I don't...

    FJ60 springs on FJ55

It was a long time ago....... I'm pretty sure on the front I just swapped the main leaf with the eyes. On the rear I think I may have kept the main leaf with the eye and the second leaf with the military wrap. Then I used the leaves out of the front 60 pack, including the leaf with the military...

    FJ60 springs on FJ55

I used 60 front springs on the front and rear of my 55. I took the main leaf off 60 springs and replaced it with the main leaf off the 55 springs. This I kept the small OD bushes.

For anyone that has done this, does the military wrap hit the chassis?

    75 series springs into a 55?

I made this table up years ago which may help. Dobinsons, Terrain Tamer and Belton all made kits for the 55, not sure if they still do.

12v Aust HJ75 Wilson switch install question

I would be checking the glow plugs. Remove the rail that connects to all glow plugs and then check continuity between earth and the top of the glow plug. If any read OL or massive reisstance they are buggered. If any of them are buggered, replace all of them and use the good ones as spares. I...

    diferences 55 and 56

In Aus they are all FJ55. I didn't know there was an FJ56. Anyone got a pic of the plate? In Aus the FJ55 came with 'tailgate' drop down rear door. Barn doors were an option that could be specified when ordering. I've got one of each :)

    FJ55 Shock Options

I am using Bilstein shocks off a 60 series. The rears are fine lenty wise, the fronts are about 40mm too long for the 55, but I have a lift of about that. The bottom bush needs to be chnaged out too. Check my buidup, all the part #'s and pics are there.
