These are a very high end, competition use lighting setup, 100/170w low/high mode (need to be in motion for airflow in high), I'm not sure if these are the driving or the spot lense version, they throw a lot of light to the sides as well as down the track so I'm guessing the driving lense...
Got the wife a new ride last weekend, loving it so far! Plans include 1" cornfed front leveling kit, 255/75/17 Duratracs on FJ Cruiser 8-hole wheels, and Xenon Depot low beam HID kit.
I was surprised to find that the power was so much less than our GX470 despite having great figures on paper...
Coles notes: '93 HDJ81 auto, 140,000km, 3" from OEM dump pipe back, no IC, Gturbo grunter extreme installed about 10 days ago, main fuel screw turned up 1/2 turn total in 1/8 turn increments, truck was running great, turbo spooled quickly, great midrange and top end power, EGT's in check...
I had ordered OEM gaskets before receiving my GTurbo and found that it shipped with new gaskets as well. Any reason I should use one over the other? I haven't seen a lot of failed gaskets threads on here, so I assume either should suffice, but I have them both to choose from.
I plan on...
My rear diff has a slow leak at the driveshaft side, I've already replaced the seal once using a new stake nut and the leak returned, so it seems I'm having to go deeper to get this fixed.
I assume the companion flange has a groove in it or something that prevented the new seal from working...
Anyone have a similar noise from their bottom end?
Walking back to my truck the other night and noticed this “ting” noise that was new, got back home (just a few blocks) and looked into it further, and started stressing. I have a stethoscope tool that I used to rule out the head, turbo...
My setup is 3x locked, CDL button, pin 7 mod, Aisin part time hubs on the front.
Normal operation = full time AWD (CDL unlocked, F&R unlocked, part time hubs engaged)
With this hardware, the following is also possible:
4x4 = CDL locked, F&R unlocked, part time hubs engaged
4x4 w/ rear diff...
I've got a "creaking" noise from the front left corner when releasing the brakes in gear, or applying brakes when rolling slowly, parking lot maneuvers type situations, suspected the screech tab on my brake pads, but there's lots of meat left on them. What I did find is a bit of a mess on that...
Brand new, never installed, Curt 3500lb, 300lb tongue weight, 1.25" receiver hitch. Mounts in the factory holes in the rear crossmember, includes hardware and hitch pin.
Looking to get $50US plus actual shipping.
Selling the springs that were on my truck when I purchased it, I have no info on what they are, just that they provided an even 2.5" lift over stock and rode nicely. The powdercoat is pretty well gone, peeled off like a snake shedding its skin when I swapped them for my new springs. I have...
Fox 2.0 IFP smooth body shocks for the 0-2" lift for sale. These are about 2 years old, good candidates for a rebuild as at least one of the fronts is blown, rears were showing a bit of oil around the shaft when they were removed. I'll include the Fox seal kit for the fronts, you'll need to...
I've got some seepage coming from my crossover pipe to intake manifold gasket, and IM to head gaskets. I'd like to pull it all apart and clean it out, do these gaskets need to be replaced, or can the be cleaned and re-used?
All my windows froze up last night, tried to hit the down buttons to free them up and the rear right made this great "POP, clatter" noise as something in the door broke and fell to the bottom of the door. Now the window motor makes noise, but the window doesn't budge. I taped the window up...
Edit: could a moderator fix the title?
My command start installer noticed that my corner lense bulbs were dual filament, he found it unusual or I would have never noticed the difference. He used one filament for my DRL install. I believe the NA models all have single filament setups here, and...
I'm in the process or rebuilding my driveshafts with new u-joints, and as I was removing the rear driveshaft the slipjoint separated, and after consulting with my FSM, I realized I was supposed to put matchmarks here so I could put it back in the same orientation. Doh.
So how big a deal is...
Purchased new from dealer, can't return it anymore, $25US shipped. This is what you need to drill and tap for a trans temp sender on the 80 series A442F, and possible other applications.
Hoping someone with a '95 JDM HDJ81 can chime in, do the newer trucks still have the speed limiter on the cruise control of about 108km/h like the older trucks?
I'm trying to track down the outlet union from my transmission to the trans cooler, to install a temp sender for an ATF temp gauge. ToyoDIY tells me from my VIN/Chassis Number that I should be looking for part # 90407-20004, however when it arrived it was just an elbow fitting, no provisions...
