I encountered the same thing when working on a friends truck. I'm planing on getting the same kit too.. It looks a little strange but it works. One thing I did notice you need to pay attention to the spacer, if not the mount will not line up and the bolts won't align. Good luck ... Form Follows...

I took a bit of time but the Uniden PRO505 XL fits like a glove.
It's a small unit with all the basic things you need for a CB /PA Ch 9 and Squelch.
I have my ham radio in the place where the factory stereo goes and the Tuffy has the stereo.
