So, as the title shows .... I need to replace the rag joint under the steering column just above the floor board.
Seems like I can just unbolt a few things and replace the rubber piece that deteriorated ....Or do I need to do anything special ? Etc .....
Thanks in advance !
So as the title reads, I'm I'm the market for a replacement radiator.
After reading a bunch of threads, it seems that KOYO is hit or miss , let alone I can't seem to find one less than $400.
My local Toyota dealer quoted $470 yet I've found an OEM radiator for $325. And it seems the CSF one...
Went in for smog today. Everything passed but the gas cap, EGR functional test & timing (was at 11). Luckily everything else including the sniffer test passed.
They said the EGR has no vacuum.
Would this be a result of a bad VSV? Bad EGR? Vacuum modulator?
Thanks in advance!
P.S. I did...
This happened about a week ago.
On a nearly empty tank, took the gas cap off (no pressure there), put the gas pump nozzle in, pulled trigger and set that "trigger hold" thing & walked away.
Came back after about 4-5 gallons were in and the two vent hole things on the boot of the gas nozzle was...
SOLD to KimoSabe
Purchased these from autoanything.com and they were shipped directly from DBA. Brand new, never installed, still in box. Got em to replace current while doing front axle rebuild only to find front rotors in good enough condition.
These are the DBA 4000 series. Box says...
Like the title says, I'm looking for either a used or new working VSS/Speed sensor that goes in the transfercase ...
PM me with price including S&H to 95747 if you've got one.
Thanks.
My 94 speedo works intermittently otherwise tach works and overall the 80 runs normal. Other day the O/D started flashing so I did the TCM paperclip TT/E1 pull deal and it was code 42 = VSS if im not mistaken.
Question: Is it necessary ? Do other things rely on it ?
I think someone asked...
So not to long ago did my lift and of course picked up bigger tires. Went from a 285/75/16 Geolanders to new 315/75/16 Duratracs.
Now I know the milage will be off because of the larger tire, BUT I'm barely registering any mileage.
Drove about 80 miles round trip to visit my dad and the...
Had a #6 misfire that I was trying to figure out and narrowed it down to "probably" a injector issue. Made the decision that at this point(275k) with all original everything that I might as well do the headgasket, replace all the vacuum hoses, vacuum hoses, etc ..... and take care of he misfire...
ALRDY SOLD
Like the title says; I've got five(5) 285/75/16 Yokohama Geolanders that are used.
Tread is about 6/32. Spare I'll check later (checked the tread at night, didn't feel like getting under there)
Local pickup only... laziness > shipping efforts.
I'm located near and around...
Anything to consider when doing this ? wire size ? length ? etc ..
Had a mis-fire i've been trying to figure out on #6. Had a hard time looking back there, so @ 275k, I decided I'll do the HG since everything was OEM from 94' and would just go in eyes wide open.
During the tear down...
Did my lift install and have these OEM springs and monroe shocks off the "stock" setup.
Springs I'm assuming are original from 1994 & have 274k on em.
Shocks are monroe. PO put em on there, no idea of how long or how many miles but appear to be in good shape.
If you really want em...
The Doetsch shocks I purchased didn't come with, and during the install, didn't think to put any on. Now I'm second guessing it.
Is it necessary ?
When does it become necessary ?
I did a goggle search and found most people said, not a big deal...
What are your thoughts ? experience...
So within the past few months I did plugs and wires. Wires were original, woo ! Now they are new NGK. Plugs are NGK as well.
Before doing that, everything ran fine, just felt like doing it to do something. It has had a EGR code for a little bit now and O2 sensor code as well. All running fine...
If your going bigger on tires and getting rid of some 315s
or
going smaller... Let me know please.
Looking for these to go on my stock 94 wheels.
315/75/16 perferrably an AT with atleast 80%+ tread on there.
Thank you much.
Like the title says, finally got around to installing my lift kit and who better to share with then all you guys. Old lady didnt give a crap except that it's harder for her to get in .... but my boys love it. While dropping off my oldest at pre-school, he runs around to his friends talking about...
Mine is a 3/1994 if that helps up front.
Otherwise, never knew what they do specifically and when to properly use them ?
Can someone enlighten me please ? :meh:
When the dash light "O/D off" is lit, what does that actually mean ? Normally, I drive with that light unlit.
P.S. Yes I did do...
I've got the OME 850J & 863J springs sitting in the garage... and planned on getting some pro comp shocks to go with them.

But after reading this thread here ... I'm strongly...
First, the simple question I guess.
How do you purge the coolant system of air ? -- I've searched, maybe not hard enough but got some mixed answers, some of which to me were unclear.
Aside from that, a big THANK YOU to this forum as the resources here are simply great.
Recently had some abrupt...
Other day it did this for about 10 seconds and went away and never came back. When this happened, I checked(wiggled) the shifter & it went away.
Today, it just started happening while doing about 45mph and would not go away and progressively got worse.
Best way I can describe it, is that...
