Well Darthvincor
The roadtax in the Netherlands is extreme, a 2ton diesel 4x4 costs over 1000 euro every 3 months.
A car over 25 years is taxfree, so that's wy the dutch import landcruisers from all over europe.
And now the goverment is raising the age to 30 years because to much oldtimers are...
It's possible!
I had a shop specialised in that british 4x4 a ten years ago, some of my resto work of that time are still running around in my naburhood.
For the most customers i do the hard parts like wheelwells and roof, sometimes i do the whole body.
With a bit of preparation it can last...
Hi Hj60 nice to see another dutch guy over here

Hello Thomas
Nice to see another dutch guy over here, if you want info on bodyrepairs you can call me, i have a restaurationshop near Den Bosch and specialised in Landcruisers. It's not so hard to do as long as you do it well, otherwise you are back on it in a year or 2.
Look me up at...
A hj60 from late 1983 with a 2H and a 5speed with just over 200.000km on the clock.
Bodywork still under constrution, to buissy restoring customers cars and prepairing them!!
And a real good and sound hj61 goes for a 10.000+ in Europe!! And even then you can get a lot of surprises!!
I know because i restore them on a daily basis!
I am still hoping Goodyear is going to make theyr Duratrac in 255/85x16 and D or E rating.
It would be an instant hit in Europe, great for traveling up north, even in winter (studded) and for African trips to
Anything between 245/75 and 285/75 goes well on a 8x16 wheel. 255/85x16 is a verry popular tyre over here to, a shame a lot of tyremakers only have mud terrains in that size.
You cant get toyo M55s in europe and i find the mudterrains to harsh for hyway and gravvelroads.
There are no snakeoilusers in europe too as far as i know, even with a 50/50 diesel to petrol cars over here.
The only time i used an additive was in a midwintertravel to Finland and the nordcape (-40celcius) we used 2stroke oil in petroleum (kerosine) in a 1:100 mix
There is allso a french company making them, an exact repro, i have seen their add but could not find it now.
Maby one of the french forumreaders knows the firm?
Hi Pal
I am still planning a wta intercooler, but i have to do the body first and put my own bumpers on it and some other goodies i developed.
It will stand out in a crowd, i will post pictures when i start building.
