I got in my 80 this morning turn on the headlights, and the left side flasher acted as a running light. It will not blink, even though the relay works. This is not happening on the right side at all. Just the left side of the truck. Anybody else run into this?
I’ve done a few searches with no luck on this and I’m hoping someone has done this before. I’m going to replace my door cards with ABS, and would like to delete the wrap over leather like part of the door panel. Is there a model of 80 outside the US that dose not have this? And any guesses as to...
I’m going to be installing a part time kit soon. The crux is this… I’m also regearing at the same time. I’d like to break the front gears in with the back as I tow off road and don’t want to put undo stress on the front without a proper break in.
I also want to avoid tearing the front axle...
I’ve looked for the SST for the removal of the bearing race for the rear of the transfer case. I’m putting in a part time kit and may need to replace the bearing and race. Any generic tools fit the bill?
Please let me know.
Thanks
Did some searching and couldn’t find anything that quite seemed to match up. I’ve read the TSB’s for the tranny, and I’ve already got a performance valve body in it. Under hard reverse the transfer case moves counter clockwise and a load noise ensued. It’s not slipping in reverse that I can...
I’m needing to rebuild my diffs, as after 370k I’m starting to get a pinion growl. I tow about 2k pounds worth of off road trailer when I’m headed out on trail. I’m not interested in any tire bigger than 33’s, I’m not doing rocks. I’m torn between 4.56 and 4.88 for gears. I’d love to hear what...

I know Ron Davis Radiator is used quite the bit, but I’m not a fan of how the trans lines tie in. Wizard Radiator has them as actual hose barbs welded to the radiator. Just wondering if anybody had any experience with them? They are USA made, and cost reflects it.
Kind hard to see them in the...
I’ve read several threads on the subject, but I have not seen a total consensus as to whether or not this is detrimental to the transmission. Needing a new radiator, i’m thinking about going with an aluminum radiator minus the transmission lines. Thus going directly to the trans cooler behind...
Hi,
Spent the last several hours, searching through threads, looking for a couple of specifics on what seems to be a common front drive shaft growl after installing OME 2.5” heavies and Landtank 2.5” castor plates. I’ve got a growl on deceleration coming from the front T case area, that seems...
Hi,
I’m looking to pick up a set of front OME 2.5” heavies.
I’m located in the SF South Bay. If you’ve got a set that are taking up space in your garage, LMK what you may want for them, and as always, shipping will be on my dime.
Thanks

As the title says, I'm looking to see if there's a good shop on the west coast, San Fran South Bay would be even better for a transmission rebuild. Looking to see what it would cost to refresh my transmission.
Thanks

Hi,
I'm looking for a 3 groove water pump pulley for a York install.
If you have one for sale, let me know what you're looking to get for it.

Anybody that has installed a 160L with the OEM aux fuel sender... Did you have to modify the length on the float rod, or was it bolt on and go?
Thanks

Hi, this is my first cruise, first vehicle with four wheels that I've wrenched on in a good bit. Searched the threads, but couldn't get a clear idea on wether or not the block, radiator, or both needed to be drained to replace the PHH.
Thank you for your time,
Mayne
I've a set of Fzj80 alloy wheels with center caps and most of the lug nuts (i believe im missing one) in good condition for sale. $200 obo. Will ship, but it would cost buyer to remove tires and brown truck it... prolly more than they're worth at that point. I can email pics on request...
