    Checked a couple of trails off the "hit list"; Hells Revenge & Fins and Things. Did some camping and then bailed out and got a cheap hotel room on day 2 cause it was like a 100 degrees in the shade and all my gear was melting in the Land Cruiser. lol

    Got out in northern Georgia and hit up Earls Ford Road. If you haven't been on it, it's a nice out and back trail that runs down to the Chattooga River and fords warwoman creek. Pretty neat trail. If you're ever in that area, do yourself a favor and check it out.

    An opportunity to drive in a really cool event put the 1981 Toyota 4WD flatbed project into high gear as I push to finish this build in less than 2 weeks. It will see a lot of hard road and trail miles, so it needs to be solid reliable ol' truck to keep up.

    Had my mother-in--law in town from Florida who doesn't get to see the mountains much, so we took her up to Mount Mitchell and up along the Blue Ridge Parkway in the 80 series. Had a picnic on the tailgate at one of the overlooks and we all had a great time enjoying the views.

    Got to take the pickup out wheeling a bit and it did great. The rear flexed very well, and the front did pretty fair. Unfortunately, the factory push-pull steering is toast and I pretty much have to do some sort of crossover setup. Currently looking into what is the cheapest solution to solve...

    Getting closer and closer to that dump run. It took two and a half weeks but I was finally able to get the truck home and in the garage. I have a load of trash I need to haul off so getting this truck running is top priority. lol Hope everybody is having a great week!
