Minnow traps and wet, dirty clothes after having set and checked minnow traps (using minnow traps to trap for aquatic salamanders. Towed the M416 around for 4 days doing this.
I'm assuming OEM carb. The pair of drain plugs are below the sight window and are 14 mm heads. Access is easy. There is a copper washer with each one. Don't lose those. You shouldn't have leakage after pulling these out and reinstalling, there's no substantial fluid pressure in the carb...
I can't say that I've noticed any improvements in how the 2F runs. It is a 2F after all. I had a Downey header on a FJ60 that I swapped over to the FJ40, and the Downey was IMO the best of the headers available at the time. It eventually developed leaks and I scrapped it.

Grinding noise from the left rear brake, running 80 series FF discs and suspecting a bad caliper. Tore into it today and found a seized caliper, one wiped out brake pad, a scored rotor, plus cracked parking brake shoes. I'll soon rework both rear brakes with new rotor, pads, calipers, and brake...
