Hello
I've been gone for a while. Last spring some kid in a wrangler hit our 2002 LX470 and it was totaled. I've now got my eye on a nice looking 2001 LC one owner with service history. Guy says it needs a new brake master cylinder. Those things are expensive which is probably why he wants...
So today it stalled after the first 2 starts. Third time she started. Getting P0100. When I reset the code it shuts the LX down. Tried a few times. Drove to the store and under heavy excelleration it bucks. So has anyone used an aftermarket MAF or know the cheapest place to get an OEM?
Yesterday morning I started the LX470 and it shut down right away. Restarted and same thing. Then it started and off I went. CEL and VSC TRAC and VSC OFF lights were illuminated. This morning she started right up. Pulled the following codes. P0100, 0101, 0135, 0141, 0155, 0156, and 0161...
I need to replace my MAF sensor. been doing a little searching and not getting much. Are these vehicles picky on MAF sensors? Do I need OEM or is there an aftermarket thats cheaper but actually works?
While it's not ideal it is working for me. If you are on flats most of the time you will probably be good. I've towed in the mountains a bit and I'm slow but steady. The AHC works fantastic at keeping her level.
I had high consumption on my Land Rover post rebuild. Turns out it was sucking itthrough the PCV system. It happened mostly at highway speeds. Worth looking at.
So I didn't have time to get my WDH setup before my trip this past weekend. I did have my brake controller so I hitched up the camper and hit the road. The AHC handled it beautifully! The LX has no problem towing this load. I was mostly on flat land with a steep but short climb on RT50...
