PO's wiring harness gremlins finally decided to kill my tail lights. Acquired new wires and refurbished the old tail lights - - made the above modification. My stuff is brighter than ever before -
Foregone conclusion that my 40's tub is beyond routine panel replacement. Based on my parameters (HOA rules limit significant grinding and welding action), the Aqualu tub is my best option.

Unfortunately, neither CCOT nor SOR (or anyone else for that matter) carry ambulance door exterior patch panels.
On to Plan B - I will go with the bikini top and drop down tailgate.
PO used a range of fasteners to affix the quarter and rocker panels as well as widening the wheel opening to accommodate oversized tires which have since been removed.
Replacing the Frankenstein like quarter and rocker panels is on the list.

Ah, my FJ40 battery exploded when I second guessed the previous owners' gauge alterations. The explosion sounds like a shotgun blast hitting the rig - luckily the damage isolated to a new battery and voltage regulator.
Now you tell me o_O
Oddly, my lenses look brand new on the set I'm replacing. And, I never thought to check the lenses for the weep hole patterns:doh:
