My oil pan write up may help. The snap-ups are sweet.

    Gas tank issue

It’s most likely the por liner lifting. I lined mine with it a bit over a year ago, and it lifted and started blocking the exit port at the tank bottom, stopping the truck dead. BTDT. I couldn’t find a new one at any dealer due to COVID stopping production. So I bought the replica tank from...

What have you done to your Land Cruiser this week?

You might want to hit up Kurt at Cruiser Outfitters for some Aisin Freewheeling hubs. I'd put Kroil on for breaking the thread bond.

Clutch master hydraulic line removal tips

^the above suggestions, but Kroil is your friend. One of the best, if not the best penetrant. Apply it, and give it a day or two.

Thinking about installing locking rear differential

Also put a Powertrax No-Slip in my rear axle. Been very happy with it. Also put an FJ80 elocker the front axle. Made my own "cpu" switch out of two relays. I'm sure I've posted about it elsewhere on mud...

Pretty quiet in here... what are you working on?

Thanks, but I know all that. I was kinda hoping someone knew a reasonably priced plumber in my area.

Pretty quiet in here... what are you working on?

Main water shutoff valve in basement doesn't anymore. Anyone ever tried to replace theirs? I know a special long shaft t-handle with socket is needed to shut off water going into house. Wish I knew a plumber in Rockville for this...

Pretty quiet in here... what are you working on?

On my '77 '40, I went with the following setup using the Dorry mount, that now is sold by Georg at Hybrid: Pick a bushing, then a sheave (pulley), and then the belt. I bought from McMasters. The belt I bought from a local parts store, needed to buy a few sizes and returned the ones that didn't...

    Replacing Differential Housing Gaskets

On the paper gasket, do a query on a recent post of mine containing a utube from Low Range showing a mini truck/taco diff gasket being installed. It shows how to lightly and evenly apply the toyota orange FIPG/Permatex Gray to the gasket.

    FJ40 Mark/Downey Header

Got it. My rdb currently is on the stock two system '77 40 master with the adjustable prop valve on the left side. Sorry, no pics on it. I will be installing the '80 master very similar to below pic. I have the mastercool flaring tool along with a few line bending tools and will make up any new...

    FJ40 Mark/Downey Header

Quality work. Please explain the parts used, source, and the plumbing flow of your FJ80 brake master cylinder install. I have a new non ABS FJ80 brake master cylinder waiting in the wings for its install and see that you've gone in a different direction than I had planned. I currently have a...

How quiet can a new suspension be?

Time, tune, no. He means are they in phase, where the ujoints line up exactly when looking down the length of the driveshaft. If the removeable end is reinserted in the splines a bit off, they can definitely make a noise/vibration. Or perhaps it's the missing 10mm socket you've been looking for?

Pretty quiet in here... what are you working on?

Installed the Energy Suspension body mount kit. Kroiled the hell outta the bolts, and most bolts spun out, the ones that didn't, broke off via a cheater bar and then came out. Parts of it were a major pain, fitment and install-wise, but one by one, got-er-done. Can't tell you how it feels, still...
