I had the management light illuminated on my dash for a while and used the magic paper clip method to determine that the problem was a code 33 = Air intake shutter.
Mr T wanted a few hundred yoyo's for a replacement.
Turns out there's a TSB for this which I learned while at Julian's...

Jack up front end - use jack stands,
remove wheels,
unload torsion bars,
remove front part of t-bars,
pull brake pads,
brake calipers,
unbolt bottom shock,
unbolt sway bar,
remove c-clip,
drive plate...

My 2k had the same problem. Doesn't seem to be a common problem. Overhauled the front calipers and problem gone. I have a write up on here but no pics, sorry. It's pretty straight forward. Run a search.

- Time = 60 mins per caliper depending on state of repair
- you'll need original Toyota cylinder kit, sponge with soft scrubbing back, soft cloth, some cocktail sticks, block of wood about 30mm thick and standard tools

My first contribution.
My year 2000 100 series had the same sticking brake pedal problem up until yesterday.
Over the weekend I overhauled the front calipers with genuine Toyota cylinder kits and the problem is resolved. Also, the resevoir had been over filled.
I had previously bled...
