    Bump … still need to know how tight to squeeze the rubber mount pucks. I don’t want to over do them but I also don’t want them to prematurely wear from too loose. Somebody surely knows?

    Before I bought a new cable, I would open up the entire assembly and confirm all components are properly installed and still attached as it sounds to me like something came loose (which has happened to mine & with same symptoms)

    No bracket. 8/77 they still mounted to top or tub w/top off. I’m between Gasquet and Grants Pass, OR. Would be willing to meet near I-5 in Grants Pass. Metaltech sells the weld on seat belt brackets for the upright fairly cheap.
