You could try one of the silicone refills, rather than rubber.
It sounds like you're sticking with the stock blade/carrier, which I advise, and agree with CharlieS. I've tried some of the more expensive Bosch, etc...wipers and had problems with them lifting at highway speeds. Currently...
I second this, I was able to enter in my sensor info into the Carista app and it worked like a charm. I had the same TechStream error of 'while in Initialization Mode'. I gave up on TechStream, bought the Carista app (one month subscription), entered in my left front sensor ID, and was off and...
The 40 split is on the driver side. If the bolt holes line up, you could conceivably put a 40 split chair (one from LHD lc, and one from RHD lc) on both sides and have an open middle.
Do the RHD drive Land Cruisers have the 40/60 split reversed?
If so, you could get the 40 side from a n Australian/Japanese/etc... LC.
Here's a random picture from the internet of an Aus vehicle...looks promising.
I purchased from this page:
Denso 550-0103 TPMS Sensor
TPMS
If I find the picture of the sensor I took when I received it I'll post that. Just in case Amazon changed the original page since purchased it.
Congratulations on your purchase. We've been eyeing Lance trailers for a while now. :)
As suggested many times, get a WD hitch.
Don't forget to add the weight of the WD hitch to any calculations. It's not insignificant, likely close to 100# itself.
I used Carista with the 1 month subscription. Worked great. I'm using a BAFX bluetooth OBDII scanner.
Unless you know which tire is which ID# (1-5), you'll have to start airing down tires until you find the one that doesn't respond.
Just a note:
I bought a Denso branded TPMS from Amazon (sold/shipped by). I wrote the ID # down, had the sensor installed in my wheel and then used the Carista phone app to program the ID into the car. Works great.
Prior to using Carista, I tried using Techstream but kept getting a TPMS...
Did you look into using a cold shut link to repair the chain?
A bolt is probably fine as long as it doesn't slip through the two links or comes unscrewed.
My 2011 has PPF as well. Dirt does collect along the edges of the film, but not underneath it. A minor extra effort to clean along the edge. My vehicle is white, so the edge is noticeable.
Given the complete lack rock chips on the hood, I'm glad to have it.
I suppose you could wire something up through the 7 pin trailer plug. However at this stage, just paying someone to come out and open the vehicle would probably be more prudent.
I don't like the noise, but it doesn't seem to be an issue mechanically. A quick internet search of Ford's Coyote engine (quad overhead cam v8) shows people complaining of lifter noise as well. Also a few Lexus 5.0 (another UR) owners complaining.
The valvetrain is noisy on the 5.7 v8. A web search of the same engine in the Tundra yields lots of complaints of noise. Some engines are more noisy than others.
I haven't really noticed much difference in mine when comparing Mobil 1 0w-20 (or 5w-20) and Toyota's 0w-20. Some people do say...
You can see if the carrier housing fits into a 5 gallon bucket. Really depends on the size, but worth a shot for a cheap stand. Cut a hole in the bottom side of the bucket to turn the pinion.
If you have stock suspension, then definitely use a weight distribution hitch. 700 lbs tongue weight is not a trivial amount and it would be good to transfer some of that weight to the front.
I used a Blue Ox WD when towing 19' Airstream for 2000+ miles. Sure it's a hassle, and heavy to...
I can't even tell what this thread is about anymore, but I second the above opinion.
We own a QX60, and our experience is that Inifini dealers are all shutting down in our area. I would strictly avoid buying anything Nissan or Infiniti until they get their business sorted out. It's sad to say...
While I was joking about guardsmen pass (unless they've paved it , widened the road, installed guard rails, etc...). Certainly figuring out the best driving method to keep transmission temps cooler, or looking at supplemental transmission cooling may be worthwhile to the longevity of the...
