92 Fj80 land cruiser 245,000 miles
Located in Beacon NY
Price $5500 obo
Purchased 2 years ago in California (rust free) with plans to build a expedition rig but didn’t get as far as I would have liked. Its a 92 so it’s by no means perfect, but considering it’s age it’s one of the nicer ones...
I briefly looked at it about a month ago. I mainly stopped because I saw a built cruiser. Then realized it was for sale and decided to chat with the owner. I saw the rust but didn't examine very well. I'd be happy to check it out again. I'll give the owner a call and get back to you. If you...
It came from the east coast and has some surface rust on the frame. but nothing major. Its been listed for at least 6 months but only on Craigslist. The guy is somewhat firm on his price which doesnt lend itself to selling on Craigslist. But like i said....I think it is definitely worth the...

That is my craigslist posting and my build thread. Let me know if you have any questions.
Asking $10,500 but open to offers. Everything works perfectly. Just took it on a...
Since the doors are finished, my next step is to sound deaden the floor. I havent taken any pics of the toyota tar removed but I spent about 6.5 hours using the dry ice method mentioned on this forum. It was 80'F in Petaluma, CA so I left the dry ice on each spot for around 10-15 minutes and...
The peel and stick was actually really thin. It did affect the clearance but I was still able to get the panel on. Replaced the clips also so that it would stay in place. I replaced the speakers with pioneer 6.5 so I didn't use the yellow inserts. Had to make a spacer to mount them.
I used b-quiet extreme and applied full coverage against the outer skin of the doors. I have seen many people then apply another layer to the inner skin but i didnt like the idea of possibly having to take it off to gain access to the internal door parts. So i used 3m strip calk and 10mil thick...
Got the head back. Painted it black and bolted it on. The oil burning problem was also discovered. The first rebuild was done using a rubber umbrella seal which is for the original f engine. Not the current 2f motor. The engine shop realized the problem when he got the new seals in and they were...
I left the intake raw aluminum since it cleans up really easy and I painted the exhaust with hi temp grey paint. I even did the whole baking process so hopefully it will hold up.
Got the manifold back together and machined flat. I was suprised that with only 30,000 miles it needed to be machined again. It was within the .5mm spec but since my dad is a machinist i decided to have him cut it again. Thanks dad.
