Any one know the part number for the lower ball joints? 2005 LC. All I'm finding is complete lower control arm.
Ball joints and 4 shocks are on the "to do list" so now would be a good time to order the parts.
Thanks
Looking for a bit of feedback on pricing for a 2015 I’m looking at.
2015 LX with just under 110k miles. Overall condition is 9 out of 10. One owner, meticulously maintained by the original selling dealer. Southern car so zero rust. Two bumper replacements by the selling dealer due to scratches...
Congrats! And welcome to Mud. I'm not overly familiar with the 200 series so I'll let others chime in on what to do next. I'd just drive it and see how it feels for a few hundred miles since you've already had it inspected.
**NOT MINE AND NO AFFILIATION WITH THE DEALER**
Carfax shows that it spent most of it's life in the northeast which may not be good. But it seems like a good price on a 2013 with under 100k miles.
# of owners, maintenance, color, and corrosion seem to be playing a big part in the pricing. I've been shopping for a month or two for a 2013-15 LX with under 100k miles. There's a couple that are not selling in the low $30's and some are moving in the high $30's. There's always the outliers of...
I sent the seller a message when I originally shared the post. I’m not interested in a V8 swap and he said he has a 2f if the buyer prefers that. Not sure why the price increases, especially since it’s not selling
For what you're looking for, I'd go with my preferred color if it's in good condition and priced accordingly. 160k miles for a 20 year old vehicle is pretty low mileage making a bit harder to find. Rust is a never ending battle so rust free is a big plus. As for maintenance, it can all be...
The thing with buying a used vehicle is that you don't know if it's truly a good deal for at least a couple years of trouble free driving.
Since it's somewhat on topic, here's a "what if" scenario for folks to consider.
I'm currently looking for a 2013 to 2015 LX with under 100k miles. Like...
I'd pass on that. It only has 25k miles so I'd want to start with something much cleaner. If you're looking for a 2016 and up LX with under 50k miles, you should find plenty with significantly less corrosion.
I a 7x14 aluminum trailer and It's been great. Yes it's a pain to have to bring a trailer but it's also nice being able to leave all my decking on it until I'm ready and not have to unload it as soon as I get home. There's pluses and minuses for sure, just have to pick your poison. I will say...
Already on it. Between that and the Carfax report, I was able to see most of the required service. The 30k to 60k range is a bit vague but it starts going back to a Lexus dealer for service after that. It's the corrosion that is slowing me down on this one.
Thanks for all of the comments. I'm going to line up the PPI and see what they have to say. The 60k mile service was performed by a Lexus dealer and that same dealer sold it as a L/Certified when it had 70k miles on it. As far as maintenance and overall condition, it definitely appears to be one...
Highjacking this thread as I have a similar situation.
I normally have the “if you have to ask, it’s too much” mindset. But I’m considering one that has me questioning my sanity.
2015 LX with 95k miles. Great maintenance history with all fluids be replaced at 75k miles. Interior and exterior...
What’s on those rings isn’t scars, it’s all corrosion and goes deeper than what it looks like. Media blasting them would get the best long term results.
It's going to be very hard to make those look new. You can scuff them up and paint them but that corrosion will show up again in a short time. If you remove all of the corrosion to try and make sure it doesn't come back anytime soon, you'll be so deep into the ring that it will be noticeable.
Just trying to keep it as new as possible without getting into the 2016+ realm. I lost the brake booster in my 100 series a couple months back and have a new found appreciation for hand brakes. Also not a fan of the mouse pad on the newer ones.
I'm looking for a 2013 to 2015 LX that doesn't have any rust. Anywhere in the US is fine as I don't mind travelling and have plenty of miles on a few different airlines.
Nebula Gray, black, or white for the exterior.
Black only for the interior.
Under 100k miles
Under $35k.
Clean title with no...
Thanks. A repainted bumper isn't a deal breaker for me as it is a 10 year old vehicle, as long as it appears to be quality work. Ultimately, I'm hoping it's either a diamond in the rough or a complete POS with a nice detail job. It's the ones in the middle that scare me. They look good, smell...
