Had one of the first Sequoias in 2001. Great SUV if you have to seat adults in the third row--more leg and foot room. I don't care what people say, LC third row is only for kids or small adults.
I got rid of the Sequoia in 2004 and now have 2 LCs--a 97 and 99. I went from a newer SUV to...
Let me ask this question--what is more important, the 90K miles or the 6 years? We purchased a 99 with 35K miles. Should I have the timing belt checked/changed with the next service because this would be 6 years? Or should I just wait until 90K miles?
Appreciate the response.
Just a note for those people thinking of using Costco because of the nitrogen fill--its a real pain!
I stopped into the one near my house one day after getting my new tires--I checked the pressure and it appeared low. They were busy and required an appointment to have the air checked and...
I'm hearing alot about the overall design, but have not heard anyone mention one issue that will really effect driving every day--the HUGE blind spots (the pillars) along the cargo areas on each side! I give the first person who buys one about 15 minutes after they pull out of the dealership...
Not sure how good that is. I recently picked up a 99 in great shape with 33,000 miles for $24,000 in New Jersey. The truck was not certified, though. From all the messages on the board recently, it really seems like prices are regional--west coast being higher than east coast.
I have a 97 LC with a factory installed roof rack (I know, I know, that I should get rid of it, but I do like it!). Went to purchase a Yakima Loadwarrior basket rack and was told that it was not safe to connect directly to the factory rack--the original Toyota LC rack or roof could not hold...
Thanks for the info. Will I need to have some "special" information when ordering these keys like the VIN number? Or will any key from a 99 LC work?
Thanks for the help.
Just picked up my second LTC today--a 99. My other is a 97. The owner of the truck only had one key--the one that has the keyless locks and panic button. I went to have to additional keys made--regular keys at Ace Hardware. These two keys I had made fit in the doors and ignition fine, but...
Someone with both
I have a FJ80 and SR5 Sequoia. I like both trucks very much. Some of what has been posted I agree with, some I do not.
Many people want a new car or truck and can't afford $55,000. Therefore they may go with a SR5 Sequoia for about $15-20,000 less. Does it come with...
Must have gotten lucky
Just picked up a 97, 40th Edition w 102,000 miles, no lockers for $11,500. This was only the second 80 I looked at--I have a 62 so I have experience with LCs and know what to look for. Truck was in great shape! Was from a used car dealer in Peaksville, NY, but was a...
