    Fridge Plug jiggling loose

What are you all doing to keep the plug for the fridge from vibrating loose? Mine is supported and under no strain, but randomly wiggles loose and the fridge turns off.

Rear body height from rear bumper

Can someone with a '78 and up take a picture and a measurement of the height between the rear quarter and the rear bumper, as well as the side-to-side? I need that height to weld the interior of the rear sill to the quarter, it sets the height of the whole tub.

    Show me your cowl repairs

I have a 1980 that isn't terrible but has some holes and some pock-marking that needs addressing as part of the rebuild. I'd like to see people's pictures of what you've done, how you did it etc. If you patched in new metal, did you maintain that 'curve'? I have no special metal working...

    Bib Hinge Pin Question

Was this pin bare metal from the factory? What are folks doing (if anything) on a refurb/resto truck? I'm waffling between drilling the pin out and powder-coating it it, or just greasing the crap out of it.

Rear Quarter Replacement and the Fuel Filler Question

Going to be cutting out the rear quarters for some new panel replacement on my 1980, question: 1) How do I cut around / remove the steel that surrounds the fuel filler? Any tips to being non-destructive? 2) Should I drain the fuel tank prior to cutting (I assume so) Any advice or pictures?

Let's see your Crossover / Component Speaker Install Pics

I'm in the process of installing some component speakers that I've been sitting on for 10 years. Yes there are literally hundreds of threads on stereo upgrades and speaker installs, but I'm undecided on where to put the crossovers as my driver's side kick panel is full (JDM) of relays and gak...

Post your Fridge/Freezer Cord Management Pics

I'm wondering what everyone does to keep their fridge/freezer cord from getting tangled or pinched when on a slide. I've previously wrecked a cord on one of my trucks, now I have it taped to a bungee cord, which is pretty jobber. I have a Dometic CFX-40 and an older style ARB...same problem...

School me on Throttle Position Sensor (1993 HDJ81)

So I'm getting an error code 41 from my O/D light, and I don't have torque converter lockup since my injection pump rebuild. The Error Code 41 is: Throttle Position Sensor. I did the resistance test on it and it ohms out ok. The wiring harness seems ok, and I've already (foolishly) replaced...

TC Lockup problem & Injection Pump Rebuild (related?)

Truck is a 1993 HDJ81 with an electronic A442F. Here's the breakdown: I had my injection pump rebuilt by a reputable shop and re&re'd by my normal guy (I just don't have the time to pull this otherwise I'd do it myself). Since the rebuild (which went well) my torque converter lockup, which is...

Wanted  Looking for a used fridge/freezer

ARB, Engel, Dometic, Waeco, Norcold, IndelB etc...I'm looking for a used fridge freezer for my other (non-LC) truck. Must be compressor style, in decent shape. Ideally 35L-50L, obviously one that works well all the way down to freezing...and I'm in Canada (Calgary Alberta). So, anyone in...

A442F on HDJ81 torque converter lockup

Two question: 1) Is the ECU for this transmission (https://goo.gl/photos/oWu8Za8tR1uvjh2b6) the only thing that engages the torque converter lockup, or is there some other kind of early 90's computer wizardry? 2) How do I know if the torque converter is slipping when locked? RPM's higher than...

For Sale  HDJ81 Torque Converter Lockup Switch

I have a lockup torque converter switch from my 1993 HDJ81 for sale. I installed it when I towed a trailer with the cruiser, now I have a one ton Dodge to tow the new BIGGER trailer so I removed it from the 80. Basically when your truck drops out of overdrive when towing up a hill and your...

    80 Series Winterfront

I've googled and can't find anything, is there a vendor that sells a winterfront for the 80? Example for those in warmer climates: http://goo.gl/b43eX3 My 81 gets chilly sucking in all that cold air, and the cardboard trick gets old.

    Alternative to Engle Transit Slide

Is there any quick attach/detach hardware for a fridge or could be adapted (like from McMaster Carr or something?) that is an alternative to the Engel Transit Slide lock? $80-$100 for basically 4x latches on a board seems excessive.
