    Rust on raw steel removal techniques - Help!

    Check out Phosphoric Acid I have used phosphoric acid to scrub away surface rust with good results. its great for situations where you don't want grinder or wire wheel marks. the phosphoric acid converts iron oxide to ferric phosphate that is fairly easy to scrub off.

    It looks to me like the pivot hole is centered about the die radius in the drawing, the triangle point turns into a tab so that the pivot is concentric. is the ripped conduit welded to the plates? alternatively could you lay out a hole pattern in arc and use bolts and sleeves to form the face...
