    Which engine is this?

No roof on it, so the pic was taken while standing on the front seat. The exhaust manifold is off at the moment, the owner was busy working on the engine.

    Auto locker install question

Use lots of sticky grease when putting it together, makes the job a lot easier. Unfortunately I didn't know much when I bought my first locker for my 80, and bought the EZ-locker, which lasted only 2 months on stock size tyres and mild offroading!!!

One of the coolest 80s I've seen..

Here is SA, cruisers also keep very good resale value, as do most other Toyota 4x4's. That vehicle in the background looks more like the Mahindra Scorpio and not really the Pegasus. http://www.mahindrascorpio.com/scorpio2004/ They were introduced here about 6 months ago and I think are...

    Nose too low!

I'm currently running OME 863's at the back and 851's in front. I've got an aluminium ECB replacement bumper and a KEW8000 winch with total weight of about 140lbs. Currently the nose is a lot lower than the back, at least 1.5" - 2" lower. I'm obviously running the wrong set-up. I don't want to...

    Front ARB locker pipe.

Thanks for the replies, that's what I thought    The technician says he was trained to do it like that and never had a problem on any of their installations. He didn't do it by accident, he did it on purpose because according to him that is how it is supposed to be :mad...

    Front ARB locker pipe.

Yesterday I had my rear detroit locker replaced by an ARB and at the same time, had the front ARB put in as well :D :D On the front diff the installer put the pipe at the bottom of the diff, below the pinion. I told him it's gonna get damaged, but he said that has never happened on any of...

    4.5 Reliability

On the South African cruiser forum (www.landcruiserclub.co.za) we have a guy who's an ex-Toyota mechanic and still does a lot of work on cruisers in his own business. He is also the guy who helped another South African member, Bongani, to sort out his Birf and vibration problems. This week he...
