    LightForce Striker 170 HID

Yes, 12v. I had mine hooked onto my 3rd (12v) battery. I also have a 50 amps SolarConverter battery equalizer/converter that I could sell if that helps! ;-)

    LightForce Striker 170 HID

I should clarify that one of the lights is actually brand new still in the box while the other one as mentioned has less than 10hrs of use. I'm keeping the Amber filter lens for my other set but I'm including a new set of clear combo filter ($30 option). I'm also keeping the locks for them and...

    LightForce Striker 170 HID

As it stands, I have them wired on a 3 way switch: ON, OFF or triggered by HIGHBEAM. I haven't used them with the highbeam switch with traffic as I thought switching them on/off too often could reduce the lifespan of the bulbs? But to be honest, they have less than a 10 hours of use so pretty...

    LightForce Striker 170 HID

It's pretty standard for HID to have a warm up period, these are no exception. They'll lit up right away and increase to full power within 5 seconds.

    LightForce Striker 170 HID

They are the typical "offroad use" lights. At the end of the day it's all common sense really. I've used them on roads when there was no one else about but they aren't meant to replace your regular lights... They are quite powerful! Does it help? Cheers Mr. D

Winnipeg to Nanaimo, testing the G turbo towing approx 2500lbs

Hey Simon Good to see you on the road again! I went down south this summer up to Flagstaff and Moab with my Patrol (similar engine) pulling my M101 loaded with 42 cubbies of veggie and gears. The trailer was 2800lbs and the truck 6500lbs. I was surprised that I could barely noticed I was...

    RTTs

Came back a few weeks ago from a 3 weeks trip down Arizona, Moab... I had my Tepui tent on my M101 and love that thing. I usually sleep in my truck but I took my two young boys with me and the tent made it a way better holiday. It was very quick to deploy and pretty fast storing back as well...

Issue with turbo oil return line

Fixed! Thanks everyone for sharing great info. It was indeed the crank case getting pressurized by the turbo. Wheelingnoob pinned it down perfectly. It simply need to re-route the crank case vent tube via oil catch can going between air filter and turbo. No more oil leak! BiffS, I believe your...

Issue with turbo oil return line

The shop took my turbo apart and all the numbers were within specs, seal was good. It's a journal bearing but its still pretty clean so I might be ok. The valve cover cap was tighter than usual when I checked it last night. As soon as I get back home from work I'll try it again without the cap...

Issue with turbo oil return line

I might have found the solution... I never considered my crank case breather hose. Stock NA setup it's connected from the back of the valve cover to the intake manifold inlet. I never moved it so I guess it's being pressurized... I'll move the intake end into a oil catch can and see if that was...

Issue with turbo oil return line

Thanks guys, Foreal, my turbo is a high mount so the return line is a good 2.5 feet above the sump and pretty vertical aside from a smooth bend at the bottom to attach to the upper part of the sump's sidewall. I blew in the upper opening of the drain tube and it was free flowing bubbles at the...
