Hi,
First, I want to thank Effjay76 for finding the right a possible clutch disc for the H55F/ in his thread here 1UZ mated to a 4 speed. But I've come to the conclusion that clutch will eventually destroy the input shaft. I am creating a new thread because I just realized it's probably rude to...
This car has 299k, but it had the engine replaced at some point, so don't know the engine mileage. Whoever replaced it did a crappy job.
About 1 -2 years ago, when it would get hot it would not idle - you would have to rev it to keep it going. This slowly got worse, and I really didn't want to...
Hey guys, I thought I would add to this excellent thread:

The FJ60s I have take the 6P148A, and the FJ62 has the 10P15C, and note that 10P15C is NOT the same as 10PA15C. I know because I missed that...
A buddy of mine and I are parting out a FJ60. Has seats, belts, headliner, body parts, etc. Also has a good rear driver's side quarter panel, and I will cut however you want.
All this is negotiable, and you need to add shipping if it is not a local pick up. Larger things we'll take to a packer...

The front axle has more weight, and has to withstand more stress (i.e. E-brake on highway) than the rear axle.
As to axle shaft, they don't look any smaller than the full-float axles (and...
Hi all,
I've found a couple FJ62's that are about to be crushed at a salvage yard. One's got a really sweet body - silver/brown with brown interior - the other one is white, but I haven't seen it. Many of the parts are interchangeable with a '60. I just snagged the rear sway bar & mounting...
So I have the 2F Emission Control manual, and have gone through the (so far) the fuel cut solenoid, I've recently adjusted the valves, timing, and I have this really annoying backfire that is worse when cold every time I shift.
I just put in a new air filter.
In some ways, It's kinda fun to...
Well, this is my first post, and a year after I started (work got in the way there for a while, I got my '85 FJ60 mostly done. I did the SOA myself, with complete axle rebuild, did the disc brake conversion with the '75 caddy calipers (with fabbed E-brake levers), and built the front bumper...
