BurntToast- Here it is. The bracket tab that fits into the axle mount just broke. The other side's bracket is fine.

    Fj62 rear sway bar

Hopping on this thread. I have a rear sway bar on my 60. I've also lifted the truck 2" through the use of an SOR lift kit. I installed the extending link kit for the rear bar. However for some reason, the frame bracket keep breaking. There is a possibility it is a function of rust given the...

    FJ62 Front Seat Disassemble

George- I am fiddling with this same disassembly. However, I am doing so to replace the plastic bushings on the pins. The C clip comes out easily enough. However, is the pin part of the lower seat frame or is it removable by itself? If the former, I'm guessing I have to pull the seat recline...

Fan Belt OEM part #s for 1986 FJ60

Well, I'll be damned. 2mbb that is Insightful^2. I sincerely appreciate it! My last seven are 1133186. Just over the line. I had gone ahead and ordered the -11250 belt. Not a huge issue to get the -11260 one. However as I said, my data plate clearly states 'Mar. 1986'.

Fan Belt OEM part #s for 1986 FJ60

Hello All- I am in the process of getting a set of fan belts for my '86 FJ60. It's an American market rig with A/C and has been de-smogged using a JimC idler pulley. My rig was built in 'Mar. 1986' per the data plate in the drivers side B pillar. One one hand, I would think the below Toyota...

    Replacement Vacuum Hose question

I've seen a few posts regarding the 're-tubing' of everyone's matrix of vacuum hoses under their respective hoods. It seems daunting, but I think between JimC's de-smogged guide, mine is now, and a few other diagrams out here, I can work my way through the process. McMaster-Carr seems to have...

    Replacing 2UZ-FE motor

I appreciate the responses! Besides t-belt & water pump, what other components should potentially replaced at this stage? Is there any part of the fuel injection system or ignition system that has a history of failure? Additionally, the owner plans on a transmission rebuild and replacing...

    Replacing 2UZ-FE motor

Hello FJ100 forum- I am a long-term FJ60 owner and as a result, primarily stay in that side of the IH8MUD forum. Recently, a close friend of mine who has a 1999 FJ100 asked my advice for replacing its motor (~300,000 miles) and recovering its front seats. He bought the rig new off the dealer...

    Mishimoto aluminum radiotor cap pressure

So, it appears that Radium Engineering makes a few different BAR rated small radiator caps that fit the Mishimoto aluminum radiator for FJ60 2F's. The link is here: Radiator Caps - http://www.radiumauto.com/Radiator-Caps-P726.aspx The lowest BAR Radium makes is 1.1 BAR which equals 16.0 psi...

    Mishimoto aluminum radiotor cap pressure

Hi ToyotaMatt- That is very helpful. Do you know if the 0.9 rating on the Denzo radiator cap means 0.9 BAR? I've checked and the cap dimensions for the Mishimoto cap are smaller than the Denso cap size. This could be an issue. Thanks, -ibis1969

    Mishimoto aluminum radiotor cap pressure

Hi All- I've had recurring problems with a leaking cooling system. While it easily could be a simple clamp/hose issue, does any one know what the correct pressure rating should for the radiator cap? I have a Mishimoto aluminum radiator with a 1.3 Bar cap. While Mishi doesn't make an less...

Rear shock bushing OEM part # question

Those are bolts, not bushings. I'm looking for the OEM part numbers for the bushings for the bolts that I ordered. My OEM bolt numbers were #91611-61020.

Rear shock bushing OEM part # question

I bought a set of Old Man Emu rear shocks from Cruiser Corps in OKC (#60062). I have a 1986 FJ60. I had bought the four mounting bolts from Toyota. The OEM part number was #91611-61020. Apparently, there are 'large' and 'small' diameter mounting bolts and bushings. The OEM bolts were the...

2F Replacement Radiator that won't Fail

No idea why my CSF failed in such a short time. Super frustrating. Plan on checking the 'insulators' aka mounts when I re-install the replacement radiator just in case they are gone and that might contribute to the CSF's short life. All that being said, I'm getting a Mishimoto for $450 w/...

2F Replacement Radiator that won't Fail

My mechanic just informed me my radiator on my '86 FJ60 is leaking again. I replaced this radiator probably 4 years ago which was a replacement of another radiator that was replaced 4 years before that. The radiator from 8 years ago replaced the OEM one. I've put 33,000 miles on the truck...

Key Code on Passenger Key Cylinder

Has anyone pulled their rig's key code from the passenger side key cylinder? I need to replace my worn out keys and my local Toyota parts department can't look the key code up based on the VIN #. I was hoping someone my have a photo of a passenger side key cylinder with the code on it. Thanks...

H42/H55F swap question -> clutch release fork boot question

I swapped my H42 for a H55F a few years back. Are the fork boots the same for both assemblies? I have the Toyota part number as #31126-60021 for the H42. If the H55F boot is different, what is its part number? Thanks in advance, -ibis1969
