nearly took mine off recently,(had to do release valve....but got it out before i took the back plate off)....the cam gear has to come out to get back plate out(unless someone corrects me on that comment)...and the gear is pressed onto the cam.so its a bugger for you me thinks.
got no oil on bell housing so im clueless atm what it could be,obviously a hot spot of some kind...considering its only 15-20k old.not even that i dont think.only thing i got to go on is the pedal was 20mm out of play...the manual sais it could be *Quote*---Debris in master cylinder preventing...
valve cover is leaking a bit yeh,not major though,..won`t know its a rear main seal till gearbox off..:(...
just adjusted the clutch pedal height and it was way out, like you only needed to touch the pedal with a feather and it would engage?????<<<<
so i put that back to the correct play,and...
just went on 40min return trip,on the way back, the last 10 min 4th gear was slipping like mad,got the smell and all that that comes with a slipping clutch etc...
waited till it was cold and went for a drive and tried to slip it but couldnt at all.all seemed back to normal.
do they slip more when...
looked at the inlet hose, had a leak at the clamp area,(moved clamp to different area and bled it through the nipple) ,and it started and is fine now...thanks for the reply though mate.
feel like a goose though, could of fixed it on the road and saved me some $,o well....

im thinking its not that easy, appreciate your reply
jas
hey.got a 3 prong puller for this as it doesn`t have holes for bolt puller etc..and it doesn`t fit as i think it mite need the 2 prong puller cause of the way its built.i have been told that you should pull these from the inner part of it so you don`t brake it,but there is no where to do such...

ok,battery air gun didnt work(a good one) but not good enough....have car in gear, brakes on....strong arm bar and 1metre long extra bar and it aint budging......and im not a small bloke.....busting my balls, and it aint cracking.
so the journey continues.
if i cannot brake this bolt.im gonna...
will be painting them for sure.
and nah,the first is not moving(maybe need adjusting)?......and second is little movement as it should be,maybe another couple rotations and try again.....hmmm....dunno.
i got the gears pdf,all good.
i did it,and the back rockers are tight, while the first front is tight and the second front is loose....
and on mark....pretty good for me,unless told different.
thanks for reply`s,
so.lol....seems weird how answers are very different,so..i understand what you say.and i found this/
so other than doing this to the best of my power.....o_O
the chance of the gears all lining up are slim you say?
so if i do this im ok to take casing off and take gears...
