Acamberos, you've been a member for a day and you're flipping a truck you've only had a few months that you bought from the other side of the country ... folks here are going to want to know more about your story before they take you seriously.
60/62 Pre-purchase Inspection in Raleigh
Looking for a knowledgeable, trustworthy and MUD-recommended dealer, indy or experienced Cruiserhead to perform a thorough pre-purchase inspection of a 60/62 in Raleigh, NC for me. I am in Maryland. Please message me. TIA.
Thanks Tommy. That's a nice 62 [and it came up in my CL searches], but it misses on three of my criteria: color, rust [though smallish] and price. GLWS.
Looking for a 62. Open to most colors except red, blue and two tone (no offense). A worn driver's seat, and/or a few cracks in the dash don't scare me. Easily replaced trim, moldings, lights, wheels and tires showing their 30 year old age are not deal breakers, but rust is. Prefer a close to...
Good to know. I'm concerned about the strain on the transmission, either from your day to day or my potential 11 hour drive uphill [North]. Does this have an upgraded transmission cooler?
Wouldn't it be easier to sell yours and buy what you want versus finding a proverbial needle in a haystack trade? You could even end up with cash on your end. Throw out an asking price and let's make this interesting for everyone. =)
Another question ... your signature reads "'89 FJ62 - 285K miles, rebuilt trans." but the CL ad says nothing about a rebuilt transmission. Are these one in the same FJ62s?
So, some of [possibly all] of the maintenance could be 40,000 miles old by now? Help me out here. I'm interested but you're not selling me. As far as parting out, the sum of the parts has to be greater than the whole as advertised. A little more work perhaps, but greater.
We can take this...
Regarding the maintenance, can you tell me when/what mileage the various items were completed? Do you have the stock front bumper? Willing to sell with the original wheels and bumper and part the ARB and Stocktons?
