    Water. If anyone thinks I'm gonna buy a gallon of acetone to test for leaks, they're crazy. If water doesn't go thru, oil sure isn't. I think the problem was the gasket around the drain plug. I took it of, cleaned up the hole and threading, and the gasket, and wrenched it back on and it was...

    Oil Pan Plate

    Okay, checked the pan this morning and it didn't leak. The only place it was wet was around the drain plug, and not enough to make everything wet or get any lower than the line that I marked to watch the fluid level. Grrrr.

    How do I get the oil pan skid plate on and off? I have a leak under it and I think I'll be welding the holes to fix it if they're not too big. I want to go thru and clean everything up and put silicone in there to seal it so no mud or water gets in there.

    LOL. Today I have to figure out why my pan is leaking from under the pan skid plate. It's not leaking from the plug or anywhere around the gasket, so I'm afraid.
