I have this motor. I am thinking I purchased it for my Lexus LX470, but I no longer have the Lexus or my Land Cruiser and this was with some of the items I had set aside, along with the sunroof glass that I no longer need. Anybody interested in buying this from me? They are $275 on Ebay! but I'm...
Hey crew,
So you all may remember that I bought a '00 LX470 out of Pennsylvania and had a scam prepurchase inspection done when I purchased it. That mechanic was full of s***, and I bought a truck for my son that was riddled with problems. Paid $6,000 for it, and have put about $4,000 into it...
was able to just contact a tech expert at Bilstein NA directly. Ended up getting a really cool guy who understood all about the conversions on these AHC systems. He got back to me immediately and provided me everything I needed!! Love Bilstein!
OK so I guess I did not realize my question was lost in my paragraph. What I was asking is:
I see that the truck has 29-4499 Bilsteins on the rear already. Trouble is I cannot track down that Bilstein # so have no idea if the LC shocks are any better. The LC shocks are 48511-60492 SG1 Tokico...
So we ran into a great deal on Craigslist and I managed to get LC Torsion bars, Rear Springs, and Rear shocks for $100! Today we swapped out the 25MM TBars and installed the LC 28MM Tbars. Definitely made for a change. Feels stiffer and less floaty. As I was deciding to swap out shocks I see...
The shops findings: Need NEW Rack -n- Pinion, New brake line passenger side front, Brake fluid flush, Alignment. $1,650- Should be ready Friday. I will let you all know how much better it drives. Still no advice on Torsion bars yet. Ball joints are just out of tolerance, but decided to not...
thanks guys. The truck is on it's way to a Local 4WD shop today to get a 2nd opinion on loose rack. But the poly bushings seems a good way to go. The shop showed me one of the steering rack bushing that was pretty destroyed, and they said they found it sitting in the skid plate! I'll talk to...
Hey everyone, Happy Holidays!!
So I wanted to take Cams 2000 Lexus LX470 in for some general maintenance and address some issues we were having. If you all remember I had to replace my '98 cruiser because Cam (my 17 yr old son) totaled it, and so we purchased this '00 LX470 that the PO did the...
Yes retracting mirrors. But right now neither side opens or closes. The actual mirrors are adjustable - The right is fully adjustable, but the left only goes left or right, up and down do not work at all.
well I put it all back together and now when I push the button I hear nothing. the mirror will not open or close at all. is there a fuse or relay I may have blown, or a reset or something??
hmmm, well I have been able to remove teh screws with a friends help. He hammered the screwdriver while he turned it and I held the mirror. It worked. But now I have it all apart and I do not see any issues. I was expecting maybe broken teeth on the gear or something, but it was fine. Now i...
Thanks, yeah I had the mirror off and it actually was no problem cleaning that area, but because I cannot remove those 3 screws, the part of the unit that controls opening and closing cannot be accessed. Going to try again tonight but I do not want to strip the screws.
Yup so I had already watched that video a couple times. When I got home last night I popped off the mirror and door panel, and brought the mirror into the house and sprayed PB Blaster on the three screws under the mirror. at 2:12 he talks about them. I was not able to remove them, and the more...
need passenger side black mirror for '00 LX470. My sons mrror will no longer fold back out, so we were hoping to just replace the mirror. Anyone have one for sale?
Man, it's all about the right supplies! Knocked out the front the same way as the back. Did not feel comfortable with my hammering accuracy so used the pull through method. From there it was a piece of cake. Truck is all back up and on the road - will take to discount tire Monday to get...
well got Damn!! the different style lug nuts I purchased, with the anti seize stuff worked like a charm!! It took me about 20 minutes to pull all 5 new lug bolts through! I can see some light now at the end of this tunnel-Guys, thanks again for the help, and the info :) It still messes up the...
