    Dipstick inaccesibility issue.

    So I have a DUI ignition on the 2F, and it is about impossible to get the dipstick out and check the oil. Is there an extended dipstick one can get, or is it possible to bend the tube to get it a little more accessible? The dipstick itself is pretty rigid.

    Strange operating

    Been having issue with the ole 2f (fresh rebuild). Occasionally, it will start to run very poorly. Can't keep it running without the choke pulled out, likes to surge when you do get it rolling, horrible power, then POOOOOOF A huge plume of white smoke. Doesn't keep smoking. Just one big poof...

    Running issues

    Been driving the 40 around lately, and after it gets warmed up, if you touch the accelerator it wants to die out. Sort of have to feather clutch in order to get it to start moving without dying. It will also die out at stop lights when the choke is pushed in. Only way to keep it running...

    He's finally home!!!!

    Well, after about 1 1/2 years, and $3,100 for shipping, "Orson" finally made it home!!! :-) He is also going to take some adjusting to get used to the whole cold weather deal. Didn't seem too fond of it earlier. :-/

    I finally bit the bullet and paid to have Orson shipped up here. About $3,000 later, and I got a call he's in Seattle waiting for the boat. Uploaded some (More) up to date pics of the PS linkages, Front bumper, Rear bumper, and the sliders. God I can't wait for him to get here! :-D

    Las Vegas to Alaska

    Looking for anyone that can relocate a 1978 FJ40 for me from the lower 48 to Alaska. The vehicle is in Las Vegas, but I can work to get it shipped to wherever needed in the western US. I can't drive it through Canada as I have an old DUI. I would pay to have someone tow it up here as well.
