Review the picture in post #7.
No pin = recline. You appear to be fine.
Can you not still order a "factory" cut key? I did this probably 10+ years ago from my dealer by giving them the vin. I received an original "large" plastic head key. :meh:
If you spent the silly $400 on that damper, you should have just got a new mount from Toyota, 4572160090, it's like $25 (if it's still available).
Otherwise, here is tip to make life easy when using the "SST" or likes: Remove the two bolts from the frame, rotate and flip (obviously while still...
So who has has the best OEM COLOR matched two-tone 40th edition replacement leather covers? I only want to do my font seat covers (no door panels, no seat backs, no center console, no arm rests, no rear seats) so I want the closest match to the original tan and brown.
LC Heaven is what I'm...
Sure sure pick apart the picture I used but it remains that all 6 axles that I've serviced and twice on my own truck, the seals are properly seated.
Absolutely nothing wrong with the Harbor Freight seal drivers. It should also be mentioned that the kit contains the correct driver for the wheel...
Good GOD. I am not offended by the critique but for F**K sake what happened to reasoning skills here people? SAY IT WITH ME...Camera angle anyone? o_Oo_O
And Kendall Jenner is still missing a leg...🤪
Harbor Freight 50 mm seal and race driver. Perfect for the trunnion race and axle seal. When using it to drive the seal in, the axle housing will "shave off" a hair's width of the diver thereby allowing the driver to recess the seal properly. I've used this 1/2 a dozen times.
None of the parts you have are so under par that they should be discarded. NGK and their ignition parts brand WVE and NTK sensors IMO are equal to Denso parts (non-toyota supplied). I recently replaced a Toyota supplied Denso cap and rotor with the YEC brand from partsouq, IMO perfectly fine...
"Everyone's first hand results may vary." I suppose it was overlooked that I used a double cardan rear shaft for well over 8 years with no issues...yeah yeah slee 6" rear springs etc. The springs are in the for sale section, no bow no visible issues. I merely answered the question posed why I...
The rear springs have to bow quit a bit more than I would prefer. No rear springs that I know of are designed for that. It reduces the springs load carrying abilities and increases fatigue -- but everyone's first hand results may vary.
The pinion also needs to be pointed upwards to 11* from...
I ran a double cardan rear shaft with about 5" of lift, 25 5/8" rear fender to hub, and never had any noise.
I went back to a stock shaft with oem joints when I came down to 24 3/4" but picked up the highway speed de-acceleration growl with slight vibration. I have adjustable upper arms to...
DITTO
I would look at THIS as the root cause. Something was not assembled correctly, internally or when the drive shafts went back on. Did the shop pull the shafts by the slip yokes and not get them properly phased? - That would be my first, no brainier, course of action.
All I can say is...
Ditto on the power bleeder for only being good for a fluid change. I have to pump mine to 25psi+ to get any reasonable flow. I traced a piece of 1/2" wood to match the plastic cap so it cannot flex and burst off the fluid reservoir when tightening the chain. Flintknapper's cap is pretty sweet...
Sounds to me like your mind is made up. The first two sentences don't belong together and especially as it seems gear setups are past your abilities.
Ken aka ZUK is a great resource. But I've done plenty of Toyota truck 8" diffs and a handful of 9.5s. I can tell you that the perfect pattern...
