Like to try my hand at rebuilding my SD40, hoping to get my hands on one or two carb rebuild kits if there's some out there. Pm me if you'll part with.
Thanks,
Mark
I'm building 2 sets of bi-fold doors. One has partial hardware, other has none. Planning on replicating the wheel mounts, and sourcing out some rubber wheels, or making them. What I need most is the latches. If anyone has one, two or even three laying around, I'm a buyer. And for that matter...
One has to wonder how they pulled it off with `60's tech. So, has someone found a source to stamp the plates by chance? It would be interesting to have one and experiment with various coatings. The script, what about laser etching? I'm sure somebody is messing with it out there, I'd like to as...
Hey all. Has this topic been resurrected by chance? Great read, was hoping for a happy ending. Like many others, searching for a blue plate. Been some years since this thread, wondering if someone has found a way to reproduce these things yet. Welcoming any input.
Looking for useable switch and domelight, including mount bracket. Pics pulled from internet for reference. Message me if you have one or both sitting on the shelf.
Thanks in advance.

I think what I'm gonna do in the spring when it's warmer is mock this set up, up. Take a bunch of pics and post as a new thread. Guess I just need to see for myself. If I can get the doors to close, with the corrugated sides, then I only need to deal with the roof fitment. I found this...
Think I'm even more confused now. The question remains, if I had the proper top for these sides, would it fit on the `66 tub, including fitting over the windshield, and post `65 doors closing? I'm looking for a definitive yes it will, or no it won't, because.....

Hi all. I have an early `66 40 that came (to me) with no hard top. I've slowly aquired 2 of the 3 main components to an early corrugated top. I've read all the posts on mud regarding, but it's still not clear to me. My 2 concerns: will the older fiberglass top line up on the windshield? And will...
Think I'll just hose it down with oil, wrap it all up and park it until I find someone looking for one. Maybe in the mean time, a weathered fj45 needing an engine will cross my path. I couldn't say no, and it's mine now. 10 years from now, guarantee someone will dig up this thread and ask if I...
Hey all. I bought this crate with a complete 1f engine (F222837)(1967?). It spun a bearing and the owner went with a sbc. Picked crank up at machine shop, was told it needs .040" bearings. Looks to all be here. I have no use for it, but couldn't let it go. Do I part this thing out or sell as a...
The thing that you bolt the pulley to on the water pump walked forward it seems, approx. 1/2", for anyone interested in what happened. Dead blow hammer set it back into alignment, now hopefully it doesn't leak.
Hi all. I'm needing a seat base for an early driver seat for a patina restoration. Upon further review, the one I have has been welded, and poorly. I'd rather have an in tact unit. Please contact me if you have one you wish to part with in good useable condition. Picture for reference. Thanks
