Oh wait! maybe I had them confused in my original response Beams...Seems like that should work....woo!
edit: seeing the connector again...still the grey one with the different connector. Now I'm a little confused considering how I thought the one on mine is the AC one that I can swap....
good point.
That lead me down a sick one. Hadn't seen "no. 1" and "no. 3" in descriptions before. I believe it's just an indicator for numbering the VSV's in the system from what I was seeing. The description in TPD does show california spec and no. 3, but I think those are separate comments...
Haha! Started a new thread for this with more specifics:
1990 22re emissions parts, what are my options? -- issues with idle and the smells - https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/1990-22re-emissions-parts-what-are-my-options-issues-with-idle-and-the-smells.1316954/
ebay seems to be hit and miss...
Close but there seems to be 2 styles available from what I can tell. The electrical connections are just a tad different. Looks like the side opposite of the clip has the rib on the opposite side for the A/C one...not sure why it would be different....it switches vacuum...what more can there be...
Just a tiny background:
Been trying to do a kindness for someone giving me a decent price on rent. They have a nice little 1990 22re pickup that goes by the name of "little blue". Little blue has been sitting, not for long...but long enough. Just making an attempt to get little blue back to a...
In the same "smog" boat. Was out of reg for a while with finishing school and whatnot. Almost sold too. Fortunately I think I'm back in the building boat. I just fixed my lights switch and the horn contacts. Moving on to more fun things.
Maybe a local meetup to prepare for a longer day at some...
What's up folks! I'm back in the Bay Area. Currently living in Berkeley and I just got the ol' boy to pass smog. I'll try to keep up on this thread for the next meetup!
Hey guys! I got a fully loaded toolbox that needs to get from Southern California (Pomona area) to SF Bay Area. It's a heavy 2 bay Matco box. I was also hoping to fit a motorcycle on board too, but not 100% necessary.
Something can be arranged with someone that has a trailer hitch or a large...
Oh damn! This sounds badass! Unfortunately, I am in Southern California on account of schooling. I hope this becomes a thing though. I would like to make it to a future event once I get the truck up to par in the next couplacoupla months.
Haha! This is kinda funny. I don't work on mine very often, but I am right in Pomona (3 miles away). Just so happened to log on tonight for some reason or another and saw this thread.
I agree with what the other guys are saying. FSM and this website. Just sprinkle in the some tools and can-do...
What shape is the cruiser in? If they feel pretty flexible/malleable then I doubt they're original.
Is this to determine if you're going to replace them?
I doubt there is a difference. I thought they all came with smog pumps...have you tried selecting both and seeing if there is a difference in the part number? Belts can be easy to identify, the part number contains the belt measurements.
Yeah, I don't necessarily like just how large it is...and now that I think about it and how this wobble was only an occasional thing...a smaller shim along with the toe adjust would probably be sufficient. s***. I'll probably swap it out for a smaller block and see how it sits along with the...
