What have you done to your 200 Series this week?

Where did this grill get sourced? No seriously! Where?

What did you do with your 60 this weekend?

@cruisermatt I just ran across this. Do you happen to know what gauge size people are running on the speedo? I would put one in and use your plug for this mod.

Watch the inserted video on this thread. Complete Transmission Flush DIY - VIDEO - https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/complete-transmission-flush-diy-video.988261/ According to what he's saying, that's the thermostat for the transmission cooler. If you didn't put that pin in, then your...

Kind of "Mystery" Coolant leak back of engine (heat exchanger valley leak)

Well I don't know if I should be happy or mad about this thread. After reviewing it, I went out and saw there was no coolant in the overflow tank. Put a light in the valley and found a leak. Does anyone have a parts list? I'm going to fix it.

    Rear Fog wiring...anyone?

@HRTROB What wires did you connect for the push button switch on the dash? I just ordered the rear wiring harness from Amayama.com and I already have the switch above. I don't plan of using the 86 turn switch that you did. Thanks for the help.

    Keep the BIG BOY Starter

fwiw, mine started acting up for a period of about 9 months. The first sign was a push of the button and a click. Didn't act up for a long time then occasionally here and there.

    Starter failure poll

Finally failed at 211K. The failure that took place was in the YOKE (brushes) area. Solenoid had no problem with it. I've taken it upon myself to find a replacement brushes holder. Will keep you posted. This is my holder from the 5.7 2.0KW starter. The other two brushes are on the commutator.

    Keep the BIG BOY Starter

Well the new starter works very well. Some how I was fortunate enough to not have any stud break off on the manifold and this allowed me to put the cats in a little easier. I put anti-seize on ever thread that I touched.

    Keep the BIG BOY Starter

OK starter update, the plunging solenoid was good. The yoke assembly, which I’m pointing to was the culprit. This was the diagnosis from NAPA where I took it to get tested real quick. Also an E-10 external star socket is needed to get the studs out.

    Keep the BIG BOY Starter

@bloc Well to be honest, I think the solenoid is the failure point also. I find it hard to believe the brushes wore out that fast but that was my first thought as I saw all the brush material on the table after I took it apart. If after testing I find that the solenoid is the culprit then I'll...

side by side comparison. Starter cost from Frontier Toyota in CA was $180, or $203 with shipping.

    Keep the BIG BOY Starter

So here’s to getting the starter out. (203K miles on the vehicle as of today.) All the bolts on the manifold are easy to get to and didn't mare up. The one bad thing that I encountered was when dropping the right cat pipe, I had to drop the trans brace for clearance issues. Planning on...
