Shock Mount?
I'm looking for a pair of later style rear u-bolt brackets that have the shock post on them. No idea what they are called, but my rear shocks mount to the axle and I am getting ready for a spring over in the rear and will need to attach the shocks to the skid plates. Clear as...
I've finally gotten my cruiser finished and ready to play with and we've got a baby on the way. So, while the baby is good, the truck is bad (at least in my wife's eyes). I've listed it for sale on www.cruizers.com so check it out if you're interested. It's definitely a rockcrawler more than...
Does anyone know glcarrel i.e. Garvin Carrel out of Missouri? I traded a soft top for a pair of hard doors and hard top. I sent him, and he received, the soft top and he has still not sent me anything. It has been over three months and he is now, I believe, ignoring me. I don't want to talk...
I changed my choke cable out this last weekend and in order to get to it, we had to take the instrument panel off (or at least we thought). I unscrewed the two screws above the speedometer and tried to pull the whole thing out from the top and it wouldn't budge. At that point, we put it back...
Do the later and earlier turn signal switches interchange? I've got a 69 with a bad TS switch. It appears that from 72 and up, Toyota went to a shorter turn signal stick. Will the later switch work in the earlier vehicle thereby allowing me to get a shorter stick so I don't turn the signals...
Let me start by saying thank you to all who gave their opinion. It's great to know this board is such a valuable asset. As for my truck, it is FIXED. Runs perfectly. While I thought it was a vacuum leak, I was wrong. Most of you told me that and it wasn't until the problem was found did it...
Mallory Dual Points Distributor taken off my FJ40 F Engine while trying to figure out what the problem with the engine was. Distributor works great and problem ended up being carburetor. (see post in Tech section). Anyway, I have no idea what it's worth so I put it on ebay with no reserve...
Hard Top/Windshield Bracket?
I finally found a hard top, but it did not come with the windshield to hard top bracket. Specter calls it a visor?, but its the bracket that is riveted to the top and bolts the hard top down to the winshield. Without it my hard top becomes a sail. Need a pre 1975...
I've got pictures but it appears they are too big to post on here. E-mail srestum@yahoo.com if you want me to send them. I just noticed while taking the pics that it looks like the prior owner cut the plastic case the soundbar sits in and stretched the whole thing about 1/2 inch so it would...
Anyone closer than SLC looking to get rid of their top? V-Dawg, I'm still interested, just don't know how I would get it without a hitch on the family car.
I checked the torque on all the intake bolts and they are right on. I will check the pcv valve tomorrow night. I have headers, but it has two gaskets already. Did I mention that this didn't happen when I first bought the truck. It just started backfiring one day. Don't know if that helps...
