Hmmm, that would be a definite plus in the LX570 category. And as the engine is the same in the LX/LC/Sequoia, you’d think premium fuel would be optional save for any tuning differences on the LX570.
Yes, I’m still looking at it as it’s still available, which I find to be a little surprising. I drove and looked over the TRD. It’s very clean and rides fine (not as good as a Platinum, but the Fox shocks when overlanding should surpass the air ride). And there’s a 2017 LX570 that’s been on an...
Thanks so much for your helpful reply, Vento. My only hesitations are wanting more for my truck and thinking the used market prices on the Sequoia’s will continue to fall… yet, the Lunar Rock TRD Pro should hold its value better than other trims on the 2021’s.
Greetings ALL:
Based on consideration for seating needs for my family, I’m considering trading in my 2022 Ram 3500 MegaCab Laramie (gas) with only 4,400 miles on it for a 2021 Toyota Sequoia TRD Pro (Lunar Rock) with 17,200 miles on it. Though I see Black Book values on my truck in the $70k’s...
Why not look at a Sequoia TRD Off Rd? I’ve owned a Platinum and it had an enormous amount of cargo space (much more than the LX570 I owned). With front and rear TRD sway bars added, it handled incredibly well. I’ve had FJC’s and new gen 4Runners. I’m in a 2017 GX now. The Sequoia wins no extra...
I picked up an L Certified 2017 GX460 Luxury model (Silver Sky / Sepia) with only 19,400 miles last week (first photo). I put on new tires (Falken Wildpeaks: 265/65/18). Rides great. As a daily driver, not sure what other changes I might make.
Thanks so much for the helpful reply, Tex68W!
Yes, the ‘19 Power Wagon is a sweet, amazing truck. I just wasn’t using it as intended and decided having more rear interior cargo space and 19 mpg vs 11 mpg for a lot of highway driving was better. I agree re a diesel too. I’ve had a newer 2500...
Good-lookin’ build!
I am back in a GX (2017; Luxury; Silver Sky / Sepia) after enjoying a RAM Power Wagon for awhile. I’m looking to add tires - likely Nitto Ridge Grapplers. However, I can’t decide on the size and wondered how you went about deciding for your build and if you considered other...
Yes, that’s what I linked below my question. It looks like they’ve addressed the most glaring issues from the old pictures. As even the sales rep I spoke with (Mark) agreed, with the scratches and other cosmetic issues with the tailgate, it was not a $58k LC; more like a $50k LC. And that may...
So, Wholesale, INC in Nashville has updated pics of this 2017 LC. I’ve not seen it in person, but have spoken with a sales rep about it several weeks ago. He seemed quite honest telling me it was a little rough in spots (as the pictures clearly indicate) and overpriced after I told him I’d owned...
I just bought a 2019 Power Wagon. I’ve owned 80, 100 and 200 series Land Cruisers, 2018-2019 Tundras, Sequoias, Lexus GX 470’s and 460’s, and a LX 570, plus 4Runners and several FJ Cruisers. Basically, I’m a Toyota loyalist. We will see how the Power Wagon does per reliability as the miles add...
I’m currently driving a ‘16 LX570. It’s a great SUV - like a luxury tank. And I’ve had a newer Off Rd Premium 4Runner (with KDSS), GX470, GX460, 100 Series LC, two 80 Series LC’s, a newer Sequoia Platinum, and an ‘08 and ‘13 Trail Teams FJC. The ‘13 TT FJC was BY FAR, the most fun vehicle of...
Just bought it two weeks ago. Stock for now. 2016, Atomic Silver / Black. 21k miles.
Frosty morning photos... and one from last Saturday after getting a thumbs up / good report and 20k mile service at the Lexus dealer.
I didn’t take it that way (bugrudgingly). I’ve just been a pastor long enough to know I won’t please everyone even with the best, most fair explanation. I do think you’re right (again) and I’ve let appropriate people know where the gift / car came from (I was driving a 2001, 100 series with...
Yes, I hear what you’re saying. Thought about it quite a bit well before reading your post... for about 18 years while driving a $4,000 BMW 525, two 80 and one 100 series Land Cruisers paid less than $10,000 each for, and now with this used Lexus LX570 that was once worth over twice my salary...
