I would guess that you would have plenty of takers at $2300, or if your willing to wait you may get $2950 -$3200. If you fix the paint and rust expect an easy $3500. That is what I would ask for my similar condition 88 FJ62
Can you tell which is the delorean and which is the FJ62?
Trooper- It had a Manual Tranny, 4 speed if my memory serves me right.. I drove it from 146,000 to 190,000 my drove it to 225,000 mi until the timing belt broke and she scrapped it.
DING DING...Yeah 71, grandma's car til last year. 56k Miles.
Yeah, seems like a deal, but needs a bit of TLC, there was a tiny bit of water when I changed the oil today, but I'm hoping for a few trouble free years before i put some Dough into it.
This truck has 115,xxx miles, picked it up at the police impound yard for those who didn't read my earlier post
Kudos to the first to figure out make, model, yearish on the Orange car in the garage...OR if your REALLY good, the gray car behind the steering wheel pic... Hint- it's a family ROCKET
I thought I likes the round lights and even pondered the swap since I bought the 88 FJ62 on Monday... until i realized how much it would look like my 1985 Isuzu that I owned in the past....No offense to FJ60's but NO THANKS! I'll be keeping my DeLorean-ish square lights!
Hey thanks for the warm welcome everyone!
Ok give it to me straight on the oil galley plug.... is it something I should replace soon? or can it wait a couple of years? I am planning to drive about 3k mi per year on this truck....
Thanks! I'm sure this truck will provide years of fun and enjoyment! I hope the costs are low, but I'm sure I will be bitten by the bug to totally restore/upgrade the truck!
It is a 62... Thanks for the tips everyone.... I think I will do a search before asking any more tech questions because it seems there is a TON of posts on most of these issues!
Impounded by police in Aug 2008, This truck had been sitting for sale "as-is" non-running at a local tow yard lein sale lot. It turned over but did not start... so it sat unsold with a ridiculously cheap price.
I saw the potential in the "fixable truck". I knew the problem had to be...
