I've had the original prototype on my truck for over 2 years. I can post up a recent pic (need to take one), but it looks exactly like the pic on the 1st page with a bit more road tar stuck to it. Full disclosure, I live in Phoenix, so virtually no road salt, coastal conditions, or high...
Please post a pic of the Factory fog lamps you guys have (angled pics, please). I think there are a few different LC/LX fog lamps over the years?
Honestly, I haven't chased this because of the curvature of the plastic inset lamp housing. I don't think I can properly "french" it into the flat...
@jumptrader
1) See attached
2) No badge. Word of mouth tends to be the best marketing for niche products. I should get some decals made up I suppose...
3) I can get you a formal estimate with shipping, email me at info@kavikoffroad.com
4) It's a pretty tough coating. Not bulletproof...
@jumptrader
1) In a head on, I would estimate the crumple zone would behave similar to with the stock OEM bumper. There is a similar amount of mass in this bumper to the OEM metal bumper channel (behind the plastic cover). It would be a difficult thing to calculate/predict as the physics...
@AMAESING Truck looks great!
@Riviera @LEX I wouldn't use a high lift jack on the bumper unless it was a last resort. I think, like @AMAESING suggests, a sling to the factory hook up front would be the way to go. Having said that, if I needed to save my family from being stranded, I would...
I sure would like to find out. I cut off the OEM brackets on my truck during the prototyping stage (subsequently changed to "no cut" design). So I can't put the factory bumper back on mine to test.
I'll see if any locals might have a Saturday off to come by and try it.
I can tell you, this...
I'll qualify my recommendation a bit further. The recommended recovery point stays in the same position on the truck. I would not use our bumper or winch plate for strap recovery. If you want to upgrade the factory hook to a Trail Tailor unit, all the better.
Here's some basic...
I'm using a VR12000 Warn winch for fit up. I can tell you it is a tight fit with the winch tucked up this high and tight. In fact, I don't think you could run a winch with the Control Box in the center. There is a small strut behind the middle of the grill that may interfere. Make sure the...
I'm 1 to 2 months backordered, depending on the configuration. Since I haven't built stock up yet, I'm asking for a 50% deposit to lock in your spot.
These bumpers are CNC lasered, CNC formed, 100% TIG welded, and lovingly hand finished. There's a ton of time that goes into them. Much...
