Hello All
I am going through my carb and I have 3 broken screws that hold the butter flys on the their shafts.
I am wondering if anyone knows where I can find some replacements.
Thanks in advance
I have an 88 fj62 for sale. All stock except wheels. Body a little rough but still pretty solid.
Engine is solid a little lifter noise, tranny was rebuilt 3 years ago. asking 4500$ obo
With freeze plugs the engine will run fine, with no smoke. The think is you will notice low antifreeze levels and drips. if it is only seeping it may take some time to notice low fluid. but it will get worse belive i have delt with this, i let it go for awhile and the plug complete rusted...
Looks like a freeze plug is leaking in the back of the block. If your lucky it might be a head gasket leak at rear of head. but with the calcium build up i would say block freeze plug.
You know mine only does that on cold mornings, I have to manually shift until some heat builds in the tranny, once it warms up she runs like a champ. I had the tranny rebuilt 2 years ago and it's done ever since.
i have been thinking of doing that myself. I am thinking of putting the 62 front seats in the back, and put the power jeep seats I have in the front. I have been gathering parts and waiting to get started. For now we are using my 62 has the family hauler. I am looking forward to getting...
i ues mine to tow all the time. the camper is a 10 foot coleman pop up that ways in about 1800lbs, also about 250lbs of gear. it wont win any races and is totally slow but she allways gets us there.
Thanks for the help there. I had the wrong antenna on for this application, I was using a base loaded antenna, and I needed a no ground plane antenna. I swapped them out and it works fine. The swrs are at 1.5 high and low.
It works better but not great. But I think that as something to do with the fact that the magnet doesn't sit down flat between the raised ribein the roof
